Top US Marine rejects Obama plan to repeal gay ban
AFP, Brietbart ^ | 2/25/10

The head of the US Marines said on Thursday he opposed ending the ban on gays serving openly in the military, the first top officer to break openly with President Barack Obama over the issue.

General James Conway told the Senate Armed Services Committee that he disagreed with Obama's plan to repeal the ban.

"My best military advice to this committee, to the (defense) secretary, and to the president would be to keep the law such as it is."

As a soldier, part of the same bureaucracy as the Marines, this man is really got some balls. I applaud him on this! But, even at his level - a General Officer, to go against his big bosses (Admiral Mullens, who is a naval officer and - sadly - over all military members as the Joint Chief of Staff, and the Commander-in-Chief, President Obama), is very risky. I hope he’s ready for retirement.

"do we somehow enhance the war fighting capabilities of the United States Marine Corps by allowing homosexuals to openly serve?"

It is a shame that it takes a "real soldier" only in the twilight of his career, full of "real service" to his Country to stand up and say this. He knows full well that his mandatory retirement is just around the corner.

Wouldn't it be great of hundreds of thousands of Company and Field grade officers and senior Non-coms would also come out as say something like, "Change the rules and train a new Cadre' to lead the openly homosexual, as we won't!"

Emasculation - Shemasculation be damned, it is about the only role the Federal Government has - as Glen Beck would say it "Protecting US from the BAD GUYS!"

The decision will so erode the Esprit de' Corps (if you are BHO pronounced Corpse)!

If the homosexuals really want to “serve their country” that badly, what difference does it make whether or not everyone knows they are a homosexual? I don’t get it.

This biggest issue of this that is hidden is that, once accepted as normal, we will have to figure out if they can fraternize with other soldiers and will we have to provide them marital health care and housing. It's a slippery slope that will cost the taxpayers billions along with opening the door with their many more "divorces" and domestic issues. This is where the military needs to define their definition of marriage between one man and one woman.

To let these disgusting perverts live in close quarters with real men is all about undermining the military and allowing perverts to seek the object of their perverse obsession.

That’s because he’s a Marine.

JAG doesn’t have enough lawyers in the entire military to defend the government from “sexual harrassment” and “sexual discrimination” lawsuits once the homosexuals are given legitimacy by allowing to flaunt their “gayness” openly. Ending “DADT” would just about put an end to the military.

Senator Joe Lieberman disagreed with Conway, saying he believed the review would show that allowing gays to serve openly would bolster the military's battle readiness.

Joe Lieberman DID NOT serve in The United States Military

That's the point, isn't it? Coming from an administration led by the most successful communist traitor mole in history.

I guess his honor means more to him than another promotion. Thank God for our country still having men of INTEGRITY. As opposed to the sterling example of McCrystal, Gates and the rest of the A## Kissing staff officers and DOD personnel that sign off on this push to destroy our military by incremental politically correct moral destruction.
