Never has so much ink been so badly misused for the purpose of preventing someone as allegedly unlikely as Sarah Palin from being nominated as the Presidential candidate of a major political party.

What a delightful and thought provoking read. Lots of “ifs” in that chain of logic, but no obviously broken links.

They hate her because she is so sweet and nice and likable. The pro-abortion strategy was to paint all pro-lifers as overweight, grumpy old men and celibate smarmy church ladies who want to have control over young women. They can't do that with Palin and that drives them nuts.

Two of the things that aggravate the anti-Palin gang the most: (1) the strong confident grin that lets them know that she really doesn’t care what they think (kinda reminds them of the pain they got from Reagan) and (2) the fact that despite having been in politics for years she still has enough principled fire in the belly to do some really conservative things if she gets a chance (reminds the ones that are old enough of AuH2O in ‘64).

Sarah scares the crap out of Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow and all the MSM Darlings.

They know she could be the next President of the United States.

Virtually everything that is being said about Palin was said about Reagan (excepting obvious gender references). She’s a lightweight, she’s shallow, she’s dumb, she’s sooooooo... so..... so.....

And that is the very worst thing of all. She connects. Ronald Reagan connected. Americans see her and they see a person they can kick off the shoes with and watch television with. They see a Mom that would make a great Den mother. Ladies see a girlfriend they could shop with on one day, and head out with for a beer on ladies night.

She is 100% pure Americana and it shows in everything she does and says.

Just. Like. Reagan.

The libs are scared to death of her because, again, just like Reagan, she speaks past the media shapers, the pundits, the intelligentsia and every other microphone hog in the yapping class and takes her message directly to the citizens.

They notice. They understand what she says, and they like what they hear.

I imagine Ronnie watching her right now with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face.

I was a young adult during the peanut farmer's presidency and I ended up despising Carter. But if I had to choose today, I would take Carter over Obama.

That’s right. There are too Democrats and Republicans, elected officials and media types, who have spent their whole lives in politics building their ‘credentials.’ They don’t see that it is their ‘credentials’ that now brand them as suspect in most voters eyes. Sarah Palin cuts right to the heart of the problem by stating the obvious: The elites have screwed things up. Common sense and courage is far more important now than having the right degree and the right connections.

I would be there. There is no way in the world I would miss the swearing in Sarah Louise Palin.

And that is the correct answer. I can't help but believe that somewhere someone has a recording of him interfering with an investigation(obstruction of justice) or suborning perjury and they are sitting on it until it is needed.
