For the last decade, American men have been inundated with the idea that women prefer men who are in touch with their feminine side, men who are not afraid to spend a little extra time in front of the mirror, and maybe even wear a little make up to highlight the features of their face. We are told that men like John Kerry and Barack Obama are what women really want. Men who are not only unashamed of their femininity, but men who will even go so far as to display such faith in their feminism in public as Obama has time and time again.
Well, please allow me to set the record straight, because it seems that Al Gore, John Kerry, and Barack Obama are really not the type men that turn the ladies on. I found this survey from a deodorant company that inherently, just makes sense to me. I had not heard of this survey before now, but I have read numerous reports in Australian and European papers about it. I'd link you to the survey itself, if only I could find it, but like many polls and surveys it has disappeared within a few months. As I stated, most of my facts about this survey have been gleaned from information I could attain from the many articles written about the results. I must admit that I'm delighted with the findings, for me they make total sense. My guess is that the MSM would rather the men of America continue believing that women desire the kind of feminine men that currently occupy the White House. However, the way companies advertise their products proves that the following results of this survey must be true.
In an independent study commissioned by Lynx deodorant, 2800 women from 14 countries ranging from the ages of 18-34 were asked what they like in men. It turns out that 80% of women would rather have a man who is capable of being "sensitive without losing his masculinity". I'm not sure about the people who believed it, but neither I nor most of the guys I know did anything but laugh at the 'Culture Club' rejects or roll our eyeballs and utter phrases which are not appropriate on this website.
Not totally true. I lived in New York and Washington DC for a while, so met different types of women.
Women with a leftist-bent do prefer metro-sexuals. Maybe such guys are more easily manipulated/dominated?

I understand, but I would think that many of those women are the type that will either cheat on their husband with a real man, or at least constantly turn their heads when they see them.
What is most upsetting is having to deal with these weanies in every day life. Maybe not always the “classic” metrosexual, but men who have been conditioned not to step up to the plate and be men.

Pretty much sums it up for me.
I don’t want a MAN with prettier hands than mine, hairspray on his hair, flawless appearance. No pretty boys either.
I like the regular kind of guy, with callouses on his hands and cow poop on the boots.
My example of a real man is Todd Palin. Too bad we can’t clone him...

Men don’t need women defining us or telling us who we should be.
A great many of us went past that nonsense when we separated from our mothers as children or young men.
The rest, still worrying what their mothers and mother substitutes thought of them long into adulthood, fell for this women’s lib nonsense, ignoring the obvious biologic imperatives staring them in the face. Many still haven’t got it.
Sad.
I have long hair (usually in a ponytail), but I don’t use any product other than shampoo. I have callouses on my left hand, and scars on the right (the former because I play guitar, the latter because I work on my own cars). Hopefully, this makes me attractive. :)
As long as you are not going to argue about who gets more time in front of the mirror and a woman is not waiting for you to go in a date.
OH yea, use deodorant, because we really do detest the European type of men who smell just because they think it’s el-naturell.
