So they really are going to surrender and tear down sections of Detroit By Kevin “Coach” Collins Last June this site reported the Obama Administration was in discussions with Mayor Dave Bing of Detroit to tear down large sections of his City. In a clear admission fifty years of Democrat rule had ruined the once great city, surrendering large sections of Detroit to the wrecking ball is actually being planned. Liberal Democrats have spoken the unspeakable: "Forget about trying, lets tear it down." Ripping down sections of Detroit will reap some very clear benefits for Obama and his Party. It will make Democrat Mayor Dave Bing look like he is actually governing and Democrats in surrounding districts will get a big influx of Black rubberstamp voters to help them hold on.
Need “shovel ready jobs” Tear down Detroit
The “teardown for votes” scheme has now taken a big jump forward with this week’s announcement by Mayor Bing that he “"absolutely" intends to relocate residents from desolate neighborhoods and is bracing for inevitable legal challenges when he unveils his downsizing plan.”
“That’s forced relocations!” as the liberal media would say if Bing and Obama were Republicans or even White Democrats.

Its not a surrender, its the right thing to do. People from both parties could learn a thing or two from Dave Bing.
The population in Detroit has been declining. The resulting vacant buildings are squatted in, vandalized and/or used as crack houses. That’s a nightmare for law enforcement. Tear down the buildings and those activities will no longer have homes.
Okay, it was my impression that they’d been doing that already.
This reminds me of the 1960’s Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC, pronounced “snick”) motto, “Urban renewal means negro removal.”
Actually, if you wanted to make this interesting...let the city use the court system and seize property as no taxes are filed or ownership is declared null. Use some stimulus money have 500 guys hired with dozers, trucks and shovels...and start tearing down various areas. Then bring in a crew with seedlings and trees. Over ten years...they might actually recover fifty percent of the city. The catch here is that no one should be allowed to offer money to the city for thirty years for this recovered property...and let the forest start to show maturity.
why tear it down? Get the Rev Jackson and Sharpton there for a few days.....have some young girl trump up charges she was impregnated by Jackson and then have her douse herself with dog and pig feces and the resulting fray will burn Detroit all on its own. Detroit has proven in the past it is a city willing to burn. I think Obamas prior pedigree of being a community agitation coordinator would work well in this regard.
It certainly feels like the sixties. I’m getting deja vu all over again.

Unless we are prepared to go to war with Canada, that may not work. Of course there is the West Bank/Gaza model.
Its not a bad idea at all. And, it will allow the Dems to do what they’ve always (secretly) dreamed of: create large estates, give them to party leaders (with associated titles like Lord, Duke, etc), and allocate serfs to work the land. The way things are going, Detroit will soon look like Medieval France.

"Mayor Dave Bing gratuitously insulted City of Detroit workers and their Unions in his news conference of February 25, 2010," stated McNeil. "In a futile effort to disparage our stance at the bargaining table, he has asserted that we can't read, add, or comprehend. That is an outright lie on the Mayor's part. i have been saying this for years....there are sections of detroit where only 1 or 2 houses stand where a neighborhood used to be....i would have prisoners renovate houses in the “good” area’s, and relocate these residents to the renovated house free of charge. I would then not charge them taxes of the house as long as they live as an incentive to move. Bulldoze the area, disconnect all services, tear up the streets, and rent the area out to local farmers.....
Yeah, I can see how Canada might consider it a hostile action.
