Debra Medina, new star of America's right, is firing up the race for Texas governor
The Observer ^ | 2-28-10 | Paul Harris

Lytle is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of town, one of hundreds that dot the vast flat ranchlands of southern Texas. A smear of houses by the main highway between San Antonio and Laredo. Population: 2,383. The first streets only got paved here in the years after the second world war. A sewage system took a little longer, not being built until the 1960s. In short, Lytle, Texas, has never been big enough to have much impact on the politics of the Lone Star state. And few Texas politicians have ever paid much attention to it.

Agree. It’s a well-worn tactic by the liberal media. Find the fringe fruit on the right and paint them as the mainstream of conservatism.

C’mon, who are we supposed to believe, Rasmussen or the unverifiable personal anecdotes of a Medina supporter? BWAHAHAHA!

Restore Sovereignty: The U.S. Constitution not only protects citizens’ freedoms in the Bill of Rights, it also divides power between the federal and state governments and ultimately reserves final authority for the people themselves. Texas must stop the over reaching federal government and nullify federal mandates in agriculture, energy, education, healthcare, industry, and any other areas D.C. is not granted authority by the Constitution.

Now we can’t have a candidate mouthing off about freedom like this. It’s borderline sedition. OK, how do we silence her? Easy, we demonize her. Label her a kook. Better yet, label her as a truther. Yea, that’ll do it. Beck would help us out on this one. He loves this kind of stuff.

And many are fooled by the distraction... give them bread and circuses...

Medina has no experience and is supported by Ron Paul and his truther connections. If the Tea Party people are dumb enough to swallow she is a conservative then maybe it is true that Paul bots are behind a lot of the Tea Party movements like they are in Oklahoma.

I’m sorry, that Beck interview killed whatever chances she has outside of Texas. Maybe inside of Texas. No truther should ever be elected to any Republican position.

I thought Glenn Beck outed her as a truther and pretty much ended her run for Governor. Is she making a comeback?”
Medina believes in the “Truth?”

Wow. She’s getting my vote. Personally I’m tired of being lied to.

As for Beck “outing her.” All I heard her say was she “didn’t know.” Sounded like a pretty honest and “truthful” answer to me.

Texas has a constitutionally weak governor. His power mainly comes from his appointments and line-item veto on budgets.

In Texas, the Lieutenant Governor wields the real power.

LaRaza came out with support for her which says it all about her fake ‘conservative’ credentials but says a lot about her ‘libertarian’ credentials.

Border security is not in the State's jurisdiction (Morrison Report interview 12/2009).

Actually border security is not the responsibility of the states. Border security is the responsibility of the Federal government which is why we maintain the United States Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Boarder Patrol, US Customs, etc. If protecting the United States borders is the job of the states themselves then what do we need with the others?

As for your other charges... where are you getting that Medina believes what you are accusing her of? Are you just throwing crap against the wall and hoping it sticks to Medina in order to get Perry elected?

By the way. I hate toll roads. I along with hundreds of millions of other Americans pay more than enough money to build the roads without having to be raped by China on their toll roads. Cut out all the bureaucrats (like the freeloading toll booth operators for example) and use that money to maintain the roads we've already paid for and walla, no more tolls.
And please... Conservatives do not believe in killing babies. You're grasping at straws because you know that your man Perry is in danger of being tossed out on his rino a**.

In short Perry is a flip flopper. When he gets reelected he falls in line with his socialist friends on the left. When it's time for re-election he all of a sudden becomes a Conservative and so the cycle goes. Hutchison is no better.

"I do, however, know what I heard from the woman's own mouth, and your spinning things won't change that. She said she believes it was possible that our government had a hand in 9/11 and that it should be investigated further. Sheer disgusting insanity."

She said, "it should be investigated further?" Where?

And you accuse me of "spinning?" Tell me. What do you think about Cap and Trade and the whole government agency known as the EPA. That entire agency was created based solely on junk science. Now that the truth that global warming is a bunch of bs is ok to ask questions about why the agency was created? Or are you just as incensed at the prospect that your government is being questioned at any level?

I swear... It sounds like I'm living in China here. How dare the citizens of the United States ask questions and worse... expect truthful friggin answers.

"Would the same quality of veritas that you like of her still hold if she would have said "I don't know" to a question asking if the holocaust happened?"

I don't know. Maybe you thought police have the answer? Or maybe you can link us to a more tangible answer like a link where she is actually being quoted saying one way or the other?

Didn't listen very well did you? To say all she said was that she didn't know is BS, and she said a lot more than that. Saying "she didn't know" means that she believes the Government was involved but she just didn't want to come right out and say so.

I have no doubt in my mind that Bush and the boys did not plant explosives in the world trade center, they did not collude with terrorists to fly planes into the world trade center or the Pentagon or help in any way what so ever in bringing about the deaths of people in the world trade center, the Pentagon and on the plane that crashed into a field in Penn.

If she has doubts, she is no conservative nor should she be holding public office of any kind because it displays a stupidity on the order of the communists we have running the country right now.

To top off her list of reasons she shouldn't be elected is the fact she is all for illegal aliens streaming across the border and for amnesty. No, was the correct response and she still hasn't given a no. Vote for who you want, but open your eyes a bit because your type of blindness is what elected Bozo the WH clown.

There were 3 answers she could have given, yes, no and I don’t know. The correct answer to the question is a firm resounding NO! She didn’t say that, she said she didn’t know, which means she had her doubts. Stick a fork in her, she’s done!

"You may want to read post 30.

Read it several times if necessary.
"

Ok? I've not only read the post and responded to it but I also heard the interview live and have listened to it several times since. Outside of her NOT TAKING A STAND and saying I DON'T KNOW what exactly are you wanting me to see? You'll have to forgive me. I am a bit slow when it comes to my clairvoyance. I'm not able to read people's minds which is probably why I haven't deputized as a thought policeperson yet. Please.... show me where she flat out says that she thinks that our government was behind 9/11. Show me where she says she doesn't believe that our government was behind 9/11.

While you are at it can you please produce the black boxes or at least transcripts from the black boxes that were in the planes that hit the World Trade Center? Or maybe you know what is on them because of your finely tuned psychic abilities and you can share that information with us here on FR and answer all our questions once and for all.

Or maybe you believe so strongly in our elected officials that you think we should just fall into lockstep like a bunch of lemmings and simply keep our queries to ourselves eh?

Not true La Razza thinks she's “racist” since she wants to crack down on illegal immigration. Unlike the other two candidates that want to continue with the status quo..
