This is footage of the first day of filing for candidacy in Arkansas. U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln was protested by dozens who were opposed to her voting record on several issues while she filed for her candidacy. About 1/2 dozen protesters/Lincoln's staff were supporting Lincoln. Several other candidates and their supporters were present to file.
Arkansas Ping!
I thought she was married to the Wizard of Id. Even the Wizard would protest her.
Tar
Feathers
Blanche
Some assembly required...
Any chance she will drop out? I’m hoping not. Democrats are likely to keep their Senate seat in my state, Connecticut, after Dodd quit.
” but I’ve had computer problems”?
We’ve ALL been there done that.
And then she had the nerve to actually say something to the effect that she “welcomes all views to the table. If “some people” would quit yelling and start discussing, they would find they have more in common than different.”.
What nerve... many have tried to “go to the table” and talk reason, logic, and real solutions. Blanche doesn’t care, and votes the party line.
Bill Halter, the raving lunatic liberal Lt. Governor announced that he will be running against Blanche. This bothers me - as the anti-incumbent mentality will help him. And while Halter is even more liberal than Blanche, he doesn’t have the baggage of a really ugly voting record to weigh him down.
Halter is cut from the same political fabric as Vic Snyder who is unabashedly 100% uber-radically liberal.
And Halter has the labor unions on his side - he not only has stated that he WOULD vote for a “public option” in any health care bill, but also was very much a supporter of “Card Check” that at least Blanche didn’t outright campaign for.
The Dem. Lt. Gov. just announced that he is running again her in the primary.
If his numbers are significantly better than hers, I foresee her being one of those who decides to retire. She may have more clout as a retiring senator than as a defeated sitting senator.
Most of the GOP contenders seem to be polling higher than she is.
Bump
Just wait til the traitorous b### gets booed out of Doe’s, ala Ben Nelson...
We need to harass her at every public opportunity. Never give her a moments rest. Kudos to those that were there taunting her.
She leads Halter in the polls.
