GOP's Mitt Romney, a potential presidential candidate, unveils a book critical of Obama

BOSTON (Associated Press) -- Once and possibly future Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney says in a new book that President Barack Obama's international outreach efforts during his first year in office have been "kindling" to the "anti-American fires burning all across the globe."

In a wide-ranging policy book none-too-subtly titled "No Apology: The Case for American Greatness," Romney says the Democrat's efforts to reconcile with foreign powers, Muslims and others angered by President George W. Bush's administration have weakened the country's stature instead of enhancing it.

You would save everyone time if you would at least keep yourself focused on republican and conservative politics and republican and conservative primaries.

Not necessarily. There are good people in business and politics. You can’t make a blank statement about ANYTHING.

He was on Laura Ingraham’s show today. I had to turn it off.

Homosexual “marriage” and Romney care. What accomplishments.

Certainly anyone from Massachusetts who votes for Romney is a fool. Those who have merely viewed him from afar may not be equally foolish, but they can’t say they weren’t warned.

Actually yes, and if by some miracle Obama wrote a book that make a case for conservative principles and policies, I’d call it great book.

Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, great minds talk about ideas. No matter what you think of Romney as a person, if you can’t praise or attack the book on it’s own merits rather than praise or attack the author you are not a great mind IMHO.

She looked over a draft, big whoop. Palin got a lot more help then that didn’t she? I doubt there is any book published by a major publisher where the author doesn’t get some input from others before it goes to print.

Now, are you big enough to actually talk about the ideas in the book, or are you just he to dump on people you’ve decided to dislike for what ever real or perceived reason?

I’m not attacking FR, I support free speech. I’m exercising it by criticizing the behaviour of some posters on FR in the hopes of making FR an even better place.

Defend free speech and quit trying to shut down criticism of the guy here at freerepublic. You have been attacking freerepublic for years over Mitt Romney.

“””Don’t all you Mitt bashers get frustrated with how totally ineffective your constant, petty, sour grapes attacks are? What do you have to show for all the endless hunting down of every Mitt thread to post the same garbage over and over again in it?

If anything, you have helped Mitt. I’ve seen more than a few freepers turned off by your antics. Mitt is moving along and making good progress, not slowed at all by you temper tantrums. Maybe you should try posting your rants in all caps, or getting fancy with HTML and see if that helps.

You don't need to write a book to be critical of Obama.

Just read the Constitution. That document is as critical of him as you need to be. It is an Expose.

How sadly typical. Rather than address the substance of what I post you instead turn your guns toward attacking me. Is that all you can do?

Please try to exercise your brain ansel12 and notice that in that one and only post of mine on that thread (which is from years ago) that I did not attack FR or try to stop anybody from expressing their opinions. I only offered my own opinion on the behaviour on some posters and on the ‘merits’ and effect of their methods and arguments.

If there was even a hint of truth in what you said, I would have been banned from here long ago. I’m sure if you dig around you’ll find more old posts of mine talking about Mitt, but you won’t find any that cross the line from reasonable debate into ‘trying to shut down criticism’ or ‘attacking freerepublic’ unless you are so thin-skinned and egotistical as to think that disagreeing with you qualifies for that.

BTW, you forgot to include the link:

Good gosh man, look in the mirror, you are one of our old romneybots that plays that line year after year.

It is a common routine of the Romney followers to get on threads and attack freepers and freerepublic rather than respond to factual posts. You are an old hand at it.

Gosh, looks like that really is all you can do. If someday you actually want to discuss the ideas Romney promotes in the book, let me know.

I don’t think that you understand, if you want to promote Mitt Romney, then you are on the wrong web site.

“If there is anyone here who doesn’t understand why we cannot support a slick socialist politician like Mitt Romney, God help you, but you’re on the wrong website. We went through this with the abortionist, gay rights activist, illegal alien supporting, gun grabbing Rudy Giuliani until someone created another website call WAnkers for Rudy and they all flew the coop. Hopefully, before too much FReeper blood is shed, someone will create a WAnkers for Romney site and we can be left to fight the good fight as we see fit!
FR is not for everyone!

I understand full well JR’s position, and as much as I disagree with it, I support his right to run his website as he sees fit.

I’m only expressing a hope that people will act like conservatives and discuss the ideas in his book rather than act like liberals and go in knee-jerk personal attacks. If you think that discussing the ideas in his book counts as promoting Romney, than I guess that means you think the ideas in the book are good.

You say the words and then you plow ahead, pushing Romney and attacking freerepublic and freepers.
Have you read the book yourself, you haven’t discussed it yet here at FR, nor posted your own thread on it.

Being a robotic romneybot, you simply plow ahead like you guys have done for years, ignoring everything and getting back to the pitch, that is why JR is having to threaten banishment.

Freerepublic has finished considering Romney and has dismissed him from possibilities to lead conservatives, there isn’t anything to discuss, not even his little political books that he writes for his campaign to take over the GOP.Why don’t you ask JR to change freerepublic and let liberals like you promote the ideas of guys like Romney and Arlen Specter and Lindsey Graham here.

The more time conservatives spend with Romney trolls, the less is available for other things.
