LUBBOCK Candidate for the Republican nomination for Texas governor Debra Medina, in a Thursday appearance on radio show Pratt on Texas, refused to commit to support the Republican nominee for Texas governor if she is not the Partys nominee. Medina hinted at there being other candidates on the November ballot she might support.
Pratt on Texas host Robert Pratt asked Ms. Medina, the former Wharton County chairwoman, "If you run through this election and are not the nominee of the Republican Party, will you wholeheartedly endorse and support the Partys nominee or is there some threat of some type of outside movement there?"
"I think its premature to be talking about that," replied Medina.
"So in other words, even though we do know that the nominee will be one of three people, Rick Perry, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, or yourself, youre not willing to go on the record saying that if youre not the nominee you would support the Partys ticket?," Pratt asked.
"Absolutely not," Medina said.
"Surely you understand that there may be other candidates besides a Republican and a Democrat on the ballot come next November," she added later.
"Ms. Medina wants Republican voters to trust her with their vote but, she isnt willing to trust the judgment of those same voters if they should nominate someone other than her," Pratt told his audience after the interview.

And true to form, yesterday she apparently said that if Perry didn’t get 50%, the runoff would be between Perry and her since KBH conceded the race. This even though she came in third. Total loon.
It’s yet to be seen if Perry can be trusted and the GOP...please.
I’m just saying, “don’t get too damn happy”.
Don’t go away mad, just go away.
The GOP owns your vote. Do not forget it.
They will tell you in one way or another that you owe them your vote no matter who they run.
They will mock you, badger you, attempt to coerce you, then beg you for your vote.
Right before they remind you that they own your vote.
Well said. We can’t trust the GOP as far as we can throw them.
yes oops- I agree with that- Beck is NOT to blame for anything- she sounds like a ditz, glad we dont have her
The government is much too stupid to pull off 9-11 even if it wanted to.
Plus, how does she explain jihad?
I went a step further and saved my vote for the general.
Oh great nothing like working for the dems! Fools!
Coalitions govern. Idealogues remain on the fringes.
Reagan understood this.
We already have 49 of them.
I told you.
I don't think she really said that, more of an issue injected by the interviewer.
And no I didn't vote for her.
You’re not a Republican, if you lose in the primary and fail to support the team...
Medina is having her Dede moment. Good things TX GOPers didn’t give her a chance.
Well, if the government hadnt blown up the World Trade center, maybe she could support the Republican.
Sorry, Eagle Eye. The GOP does not own me in any way, shap or form. A true conservative will not compromise. You put sterling in with plate and the sterling will become contaminated every time.
??
"Absolutely not," Medina said.
She is a crazypants
