" At least 36 terminally ill people died last year after taking lethal medication prescribed by doctors under Washington States new physician-assisted suicide law, according to a state report released Thursday, the first since the law went into effect a year ago.
A total of 63 people filled prescriptions for lethal medication, but not everyone took it. All those who did take it died. Some people who did not take it died from other causes."
"Oregon, whose law went into effect in 1998, also released its annual report this week. The Oregon Public Health Division said 59 people died last year from lethal medication prescribed under the law; 95 prescriptions were filled. A total of 460 patients have died under the law in Oregon."

These creatures must first be reduced to the level of shamen, rootworkers and witch doctors.
“
Folks who work in a regime where it’s NORMAL for doctors to kill their patients can no longer be trusted.”
How many doctors are there in the state? Has to be thousands and thousands. How many were involved in these 36 cases? A dozen? Two dozen? Can’t say that its a normal part of the duties of a doc.
It's not like I'm demanding purity of association, but I'd like to make sure none of these guys treat me.
So, all those who take and keep an oath (original Hypocrates, or equivalent) must be exempt, no exceptions. I would choose at once the doctor that you’d want to use governmental apparatus to reject just because he or she first tried to remedy, then fled, a territory where the politicians legislated that doctors may kill.
Even the least afflicted leper may not leave the colony.
Now we have effective treatments that is bygone.
And I will be glad to sue you nine ways from sunday if you try.
There's no claim on your part, and your last response was INCOHERENT.
And your analogy is bassackwards anyhow. Anyone who tried to remedy the situation while remaining clean is by even your tortured mind definition, not a leper.
I will sue you for restricting commerce between the states, using the Federal apparatus.
Don’t worry. I’ll be more than happy to protect you from the “killer docs”.
And yes indeedy there is a claim on my part. I want to hire the doctor, you git out the way!
Take a trip to Portland if you want a “killer doc” or one of her friends.
Tenth Amendment stuff.
Hanging around with "killer docs" is a disease.
The tenth is next to a dead letter today so you are purporting to stand on a bent splinter. I will have your arse in court.
How do you propose to carry this out anyhow? You come carpetbagging into my state, you should by all means expect to be kicked out post haste in shame because your agenda is so ludicrous on its face. You do not even understand how it came to be in Oregon. This was not a motion of a majority of the medicos. This was consumer-driven and went over the doctors’ heads to the legislature.
You ignore that this was a consumer driven movement. Every single doctor in Oregon could have said no and the legislature would still have okayed it.
If it is a disease than get away from me cause I am leprous and will make you so. In fact, being in a country that voted for Obama is a disease. Get away from me.
Probably not.
I just don’t want to take the risk that some doctor comes to Virginia but back in Oregon, et al, he was a “killer doc”. Best that we keep them all out of here.
