This is Alabama. He’s not credible and neither is Les Phillip. I know it will anger any supporters Les has on here but the truth is the truth.
If Democrats are to lose the legislature this year they’re losing it for one reason and one reason alone and we all know what it is. That’s why they’re trying so hard to make national issues irrelevant this year and its why Bedford pushed through that gun bill in the Senate

They’ve run both the Light rail scam and the sewer project scam on Portland, Oregon, and taxpayers in the tri-county metropolitan area. They pushed and pushed unsuccessfully on the stadium project (Portland has neither a pro football nor ML baseball team), but they really did not have to, since they pulled the Light Rail scam not once, not twice, not three times, or even four
They have crammed it down the throats of unwilling taxpaying voters SIX times!!
First was an eastside only line twenty plus years ago, then later of course they had to have one for the westside (tunneled through over a mile of solid rock at budget-breaking cost) since after all, the west side had the worse traffic congestion problem, what with the Nike and Intel campuses located out there...
Then it was a “spur” line of “just a few miles” to service the PDX airport. A think tank did a feasibility study that proved it would have been cheaper to have 10 passenger stretch limousines making that loop 24/7/265 including all vehicle maintenance and replacement costs, a driver salaried at $20/hour with full health insurance and pension benefits, IRA etc.
After that, they pressed for an extension from the “Rose quarter/convention center area into the North Portland “hood”...
and an extension from the airport/gateway interchange along the I-205 corridor, to the Clackamas Mall, and on to the (protesting, unwilling) Portland suburb of Milwaukie.
and an extension of the North Portland line across the Columbia river into downtown Vancouver, Washington - again over the ignored protests of Vancouver voters...
And the people in government cannot seem to figure out why (on top of the socialized medicine Oregon Health Plan) the state is going broke on the heels of tax increase after jobs/growth-stifling tax increase.
They could actually, but they would never admit it.

I can just see de Mayor saying that with malicious grin, palm outward, and pinky extended toward corner of mouth.
