March 9, 2010 | no dems

Posted on 03/09/2010 3:01:41 PM PST by no dems

Glenn was greatly frustrated because he could not get specifics from Massa that "affects you". Glenn apologized to his audience for "wasting your time".

I think this illustrates why we must redouble our efforts to reduce the size and scope of the federal government. This is the type of political slime bag that's trying to dictate every aspect of our lives, how unsettling is that.

Just what we need, another Blagovich crook who got caught with his hands in somebody's pants....then looking for sympathy from any sap willing to give him airtime.

Waste of time...Beck wasn't prepared...lame.

Beck didn’t even know what he wanted to ask Massa. Beck is the one that wasted the hour. If your gunna sit in the big kahuna chair, you better have a good idea what you want to get at... he couldn’t handle the spaghetti being flung at him and he couldn’t nail any of it to the wall. A good interviewer is going to nail something down, even if its just one thing... Beck did not... love the guy, but he’d be better off leaving the big hitting to Megan Kelly, O-Really, or Jarardo.

I turned it off after an half an hour of nothingness.

It was Glenn’s choice to invite the man.

Glenn has no one to blame but himself.

And frankly, who cares!

Which interview did you watch. The one I watched Glenn asked him several times to show us some names, some deeds, some things that would be new to us. So the guy side stepped all of those. The questions were asked, just not answered. Don’t blame Beck because the guest would not comply.

Massa seemed to have more control of the hour than Glenn did. Glenn just couldn’t get the idea communicated that he wanted Massa to name names and incidents not generalities.

At times Massa sounded like he was campaigning although I couldn’t really get a handle on what exactly he was campaigning for.

Some info, but useless to we the people.

The last time I’ve seen Glenn shine during an interview was about a year ago when he had that ACORN guy on. He ended up throwing him out of the studio. LOL

I didn’t watch the interview. Michelle Malkin nailed Massa right out of the chute.

My understanding is that Glenn is taped around 3:00pm....that he is not live....

Had the same feeling. I think that Rahm got to him (maybe threatened family)... Would not put it past this Chicago group at all. Yes, it was a useless hour presented by Beck. He really needs to do more homework before granting this type of interview (especially for slippery politicians).

This is the problem here. Glenn saw big ratings and a way to promote his views by fitting his template to Massas strange story. This is no different than what Kieth Olberdork does regularly with disaffected Repubs.

Glenn needs to learn what every good lawyer knows: never ask a question unless you already know the answer. If his pre-interview questions to Massa didn't yield anything of substance, he ought to have passed on the chance to put him on the air for an hour.

I'm disappointed but I also know that Glenn is one of the good guys: he genuinely loves his country and wants to help make a difference. I hope he learns from this experience, and in this instance, listens a little more closely to what his friends (Michelle Malkin) are telling him.

Thought I'd ping you (from your "What's up with Massa?" thread) to see the opinions of others regarding the Massa interview. I saw only a brief portion of it but the guy is certainly slick and sleazy.

You're vindicated in my book. ;-)

I didn’t see the interview, or hear it, but from what the posters are saying on this thread it appears that this interview redounded to the benefit of the Dems because of Beck’s lack of attention to detail in tough questioning.

That makes me question Beck more than Massa, if that is indeed the case.

As to the interview being pointless...perhaps not to Massa if he and the Dems benefited from it.

I have listened to Beck daily on the radio since 2004, but never watch the show. It just doesn’t fit with my schedule. But today I turned up the volume and the closed captioning to catch this interview over my three kids.

Was the result disappointing? Sure. Am I disappointed in Beck? Not at all. He said up front that he was taking a risk and wasn’t sure what the outcome would be. If the guy had come out with something spectacular, Beck would be hailed as a genius.

He took a gamble and it didn’t pan out. It isn’t the first time and won’t be the last. The comments here make it sound like there are a lot of FR members that wish he were off the air. My hats off to him for trying.

I didn't see it, but Beck is desperate, it seems to me, to find an honest and freedom-loving democrat to prove his point that republicans are just as bad as democrats. He needs to get a grip on reality. A minority of republicans are progressives, but almost all democrats (even normal non-politicians) are progressives.
