She appeared in several critically acclaimed movies, including the “The Burning Bed”, “The Apostle”, and “Extremities”.

And a bunch of crappy movies like “Dr T. and the Women”.

I did wonder though, once they started throwing in producers and other ancillary people, how they could possibly be showing us ALL the people who died in the past year.

Would it have killed them though to at least have a scroll of all the names of everybody who is in the Screen Actors Guild who died in the past year, even if they couldn’t throw a picture up for them?

Especially since his lame excuse would have applied more to Michael Jackson, who has been honored many times over for his death, and would be at the grammys (if that didn’t already happen).

ABC reports that Farrah Fawcett is a devout Catholic Christian.

The AA lefties can't abide decency, thus the snub.

Here’s a Facebook group to protest Farrah Fawcett’s exclusion from the tribute. I’m sure several of my Facebook friends from high school are on it.

May she be in the book of life. All earthly honours pale to nothing in relation to that.

Weird thing about Edward Woodwards movie roles. In Breaker Morant, he died as an atheist at sunrise, and in The Wicker Man he died as a Christian at sunset.

Not quite. In Breaker Morant, he died an avowed pagan, killed by Christians. In The Wicker Man, he died an avowed Christian, killed by pagans.

Not many people get death scenes like Woodward did in those two films.

Both where bit of a shocker.

Did he win for that? I think he did.
This point , brought to light by you might even give that Academy AH
an alibi he couldn't even think of.

No. Ben lost to The Morning After from The Poseidon Adventure. Jackson sang the song live at the Academy Awards show.

Also note that he didn't write the song, he only performed it. He would not have himself been the nominee -- only the songwriters are nominated, not the performers.

Why is it some Christians always seem to be looking for a reason to be offended? I thought you were supposed to turn the other cheek. Do you honestly believe that none of the other people shown in the memorial were Christian?

No, I think that Farah Fawcett was a major star, so there must have been some political reason why they deliberately refused to honor her. The obvious thought that occurred to me was that they thought she was too traditional or conservative for their taste. So, since I haven’t kept up with her in recent years, I looked around to see if any news items confirmed that conjecture. The Last Rites story seems to bear it out. Nothing wrong with being Christian, I hope.
