Oh goody, that means no rules that we have to follow either. It will be massive unrest and it means we don’t have to pay taxes either. WOOHOO!

I assume you're joking, but I'd rather not see the democrats destroy the nation by creating a constitutional crisis and turning the nation into a dictatorship.

Whom is this a “win” for? If not passed, it's a loss and Americans breathe more freely, possibly even feeling comfortable enough for a bit of magnanimity toward the addict n chief.

However, IF PASSED it's going before the SCOTUS on several counts of violating the Constitution and confirm the fears of almost three quarters of the country, causing that distinctly American reaction of slowly, quietly coming to a boil. We know what tends to happen there.

So I don't see how, in any way, forcing this down our throats is a win for the Dems.

I am far from a Constitution lawyer (more into consumer affairs, traffic tickets and an impressive business card on Singles Night at the local saloon), but has any Constitutional expert weighed in on this.

Not some legal bar fly, but someone with real Constitutional law credentials.

P.S has this Slaughter Rule ever been used before?

Yes Mark Levin has and he said it is unconstitutional.

A major question will be if this strategy is used, will any state have what it takes to really challenge Federal rule. This is a coup against the Republic and should be treated as such.

Just as fiat currency is an improvement on gold money, so government by fiat will be an improvement over government by law.

I lerned that in colledge.

There is also something involved in something like this called “The Law of Unintended Consequences” where they may think they have thought it all through. But in reality they may than likely get a violent backlash from the American public that will lead not only to massive electoral defeat but also criminal prosecution, punishment and the total ruination of themselves.

Indeed. Instead of stabbing our “Caesar”, the Senate will join WITH “Caesar” in plunging the dagger into the heart of our Republic.

If the Rats in congress try this then it will be open civil war in the USA, and I will personally march on Washington DC and drag them out of their offices.

I'm tired of this congress and I'm tired of what they are trying to do.

The author quotes Mark Levin, who is a Constitutional attorney. Levin agrees this is a very dangerous territory for Dems to tread. It will be rule by fiat.

“If the democrats choose this route of discarding the constitution then they also remove any shred of validity to the federal government. With this fiat they will by the same dictatorial decree have disbanded the United States.”

The problem is the Feds have cross this line many times before, as long as the means of force remain on the side of the Federal government rather then the constitution there is no constitution. Nor is there a republic.

We need Oath keepers, and we need them extremely badly.

We must find a way to give our States the superior upper hand in the field of force. To do that we must arrest the military machete from acting to enforce Federal laws, upon the states.

We don’t need the Federal Military forces to turn on the Federal government simply to refuses to allow themselves to be used for the enforcement of unconstitutional orders. For-without them the Federal government largely lacks the forces necessary to stand up to the states.

There are several ways for us to do this, but they will require getting our people into position before hand.

1: Congress can refuses to change posse comitatus, and the States can rule the Federal military efforts to enforce “federal laws” regardless of the constitutionality of such laws to be them-selfs unlawful. With hope enough of the military will agree and refuse to follow on that grounds.

2: We can disban the Federal Military machine by means of simply failing to fund it. This will take about 2 years, and require the cooperation of both liberals and conservative allies in congress to not pass any new military funding acts.

Without the funds the federal military will collapse, and with it the Federal governments only tool to enforce its will upon the people. We will lose our conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, but winning those wars means very little if we lose our Constitutional republic, so i consisted the sacrifice acceptable.

Winning a battle at the cost of the war is no victory, and in this situation both Iraq and Afghanistan are merely battles. In any case our Federal military defenses will only be down for a relativity short time, nor are they our only defenses, every state has retained the right to defend itself from attack or invasion in the Constitution, with the National guard we retain the means to do so as well. So its not like we would be helpless at any point in this process.

Theses are the acts which the south failed to take prior to their leaving the union in 1960, as they failed to appropriately anticipate the Lincoln’s disregard of their inalienable right to reform and redefine their own government, and thus succession as both defined in and demonstrated by our Deceleration of Independents.

We will none the less require a measure of deception in parshally paying into the Leftist anti-military desire. Just as we must allow them to disarm themselves in preparation for the common battle, we must allow them to disarm the Federal Government, less the same will be used by the tyrants that lead them against us.

Leftist shortsightedness plays into the hands of tyrants most of the time, let us for once uses that same shortsightedness to play into our hands.

Make no mistake thou these are perilous times already, they will become much more perilous in the days to come.
Let us hope that the best of us may come out in the defense of liberty.
