The Ceausescu termination would be very fitting for these ‘rats.

I don’t believe Bart Gordon was ever a No vote. Last week on local radio it was reported that he has been offered a position w/ the Science and Technology Center in DC. He’s already announced he was retiring. I think the job offer was payback for a YES vote. I know folks here in Middle TN never thought he would actually vote how his constituents are asking. He’s always been a NO in my opinion.

Maybe waterboarding is legal if the rat is a congressman, but not as a terrorista.

I heard earlier that the Republicans will run on repealing this Bill if it passes and that they will use whatever process the ‘Rats used to pass it to repeal it. I presume that means if they use Reconciliation, that’s what the ‘pubs will use.

Clyburn’s trying to force some hands here, although it’s possible they flipped.

One reason for the deadline is that they want to force those who are posturing for goodies to give it up and get on board.

I wonder how many of these 4 were sputtering maybes when badgered by Clyburn and he figures if he publically says they’re on board, they’ll be too cowardly to contradict him.

Good for you
all you need to do is ask how “MY congressman. woman is voting”
they won’t tell you of course
then say that you expect theRep to vote AGAINST it and to work on a New Good bill if he/ she wants to be reelected

remember to block your number
and have a city with zip code in their district handy. They will ask for your address but you don’t need to give it,
just tell them you are a constitutent

=== *** === ***

Some offices won’t accept blocked calls. I go to Superpages.com, put in a name like “Brown” or “Kraft” then a city of that representative.

Pick a name, get a street, a zip and a phone number.

Sometimes when I call, they say, “you’re calling from Florida”?

I say, “yes, I am. I’m visiting family. I can’t even go on vacation and you guys are trying to grab our liberties forever and I’m so angry.” Then I give them a name and some form of a phone number in their area.

I figure, this is stinkin war and I WANT TO WIN !!!

“Seriously, folks! Anyone not seeing this coming is an idiot. It is going to pass in some form or another, only to be *adjusted* at a later time. And there will not be any large scale reaction to them passing ObamaCare. And Obama’s poll numbers will fly through the roof.”

And I’m going to win Powerball and Mega Millions!

“Firedoglake, a VERY liberal site, has a good running whip count.” It still shows them more than a dozen short, even with Clayburn’s latest additions.”

Great news, thank you for the info.

"Are you sure they’re about 12 or so votes down? I sincerely hope you’re right."

Amy I sure? Nope. I really have no idea, personally. But, Firedoglake is a liberal site, and it's also well respected in the conservative community as a site that gets its facts right, although it gets its opinions wrong. My guess is if the vote was closer, that site would reflect it.

I suspect that some of the stories out there showing a trend towards passing this bill are attempting to suppress the opposition with deflating news. It's political psy-ops.

Having said that, whatever the actual number is, it's close. And, when they do bring this to the floor, some people who said they were against will flip - they always do. Whip counts before the vote almost always underestimate the actual vote, by at least a vote or two, FWIW.

Disappointed, but not surprised. These men demonstrate that politicians, as a whole, are hollow men. They are not people of moral character nor courage. In the beginning of this country, politicians and stooges for the monarchy were tared and feathered. I wonder if these hollow men would not benefit from a revival of this practice?

Remember the Veto. Until Obama is unseated in '12, nothing is getting repealed.

ABC is pumping air for BOcare and so is FOX. Pelosi ain’t even got 200 votes yet.

The NOs have 214 already if people stick to their position (216 would kill the bill) The Hill newspaper has the best count IMHO.

178 GOP + 36 RATS = 214 NO votes

Keep fighting

The ones I would be most concerned about are the ones who originally voted no because it wasn’t left-wing enough. I wouldn’t count on Stupak either, since he and his bunch are basically leftists who happen to be opposed to abortion.

Gordon and Altmire were already counted as Yes votes in CODE RED'S updated list from today.

Baird and Boccieri are switches.
