Rep. John Boccieri, Ohio-16 Rep. Jason Altmire, PA-4 Rep. Barty Gordon, Tenn-6 Rep. Brian Baird, WA-3
Well, they didn't just give up their privilege willingly, now did they? I just don't see how this government can be changed or corrected in any meaningful way by voting. It's not going to happen.
We have very dark, horrible days ahead of us.
“I don’t know when Clyburn said he had 4 “new” Yes votes (no source link in this thread), but we already knew Altmire and Gordon were Yes votes, so if Clyburn is correct, that’s only +2 Yes. “
Could it be..........dare I say it...........that Clyburn lied??
Yep, Republican weakness has brought us to this day. Remember, less than 2 months ago the GOP invited Obama, of all people, to speak at their retreat. The GOP are the Great Democrat Enablers. Being born with a silver spoon in your mouth makes one really good at such a thing.
Isn’t CLYBURN the HouseNIC? How else do you keep them down on the Dem. Plantation unless you have one?
How many of these “yes” votes are really just to get the arm twisting to stop and to get this to a floor vote so that it can be killed? How many are saying yes and will switch to no at the time of the vote? Pelosi will not bring this to the floor until she thinks that she has the votes to pass, so people should not panic when that time comes.
Altmiers short video from Fox News Sunday....said he wanted to see what was in the recociliation...and that is choice is to pass it or do nothing at all.
Maybe Pelosi got mad at him for what he said yesterday about not having all the votes. They have been using that clip all day.
I hope you’re right but I tend to think the “Undecideds” are the ones holding out for a bigger bribe or waiting to see if the ‘rats need their NO vote.

Q: Dont abortion opponents have other concerns about the bill?
A: A major one has to do with $11 billion that Obama wants to pump into community health centers serving low-income people and the uninsured.
As the bill is currently written, those funds are not explicitly covered by the Hyde amendment.
White House health overhaul spokeswoman Linda Douglass says Obama is willing to clarify the language.
(So $10 billion is going to Vermont for community health centers. Does this mean American taxpayers will be funding abortions ONLY in Vermont?)
The Archdiocese of Chicago has Stupak scheduled as their speaker for the prayer-breakfast at the end of April. If he flips to YES, he better not show his face, and the invitation had better be rescinded. Stupak whines about arm-twisting. Well, his guys need to stop picking up the phone calls from Dem leadership and Obama, and say NO to any face to face meetings. Their is NO middle ground on the issue of abortion, so their is no compromise.
The public option is back in...
They are going for the House bill in reconciliation, it appears so.
The staffers say she is “undecided” and that the calls are running 50/50 on the health care issue.
I do not believe either statement is true.
Go to NRO - The Corner.
Stupak is not flipping; in fact, he has an invitation to contact other Blue Dogs to vote NO.
Everyone should check this out.
I think 204 No, 190 Yes, 37 Undecided is more likely. That's pretty close to your estimate.
If true, that is to get the far Left on board, but Nancy will throw them under the bus in a day or two.

Sending out another round of blast emails to my congressmen.
Hello ODH...this is disappointing for me since I have phoned so many times Altmiers office over these past weeks...all day today the lines have all been busy. I posted his brief comments from FoX News Sunday here. But he is a democrate so it shoulnd’t be a surprise.
I understand tea party people are on him now...I will go with them to his office once I find out which one.
What a fight this is! I feel like I am fighting the forces of darkness!...because We are!
