Coalition: Keep Students Home on Homosexualist 'Day of Silence' (April 16)

TINLEY PARK, Illinois, March 16, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A national coalition of organizations committed to preserving parental rights in public education is urging parents to keep their children at home from schools that are complying with the Day of Silence endorsing homosexuality.

The Day of Silence on April 16 is a political protest sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) that encourages acceptance of homosexuality and Gender Identity Disorder by asking students to refuse to speak in class, in honor of homosexual victims of bullying.

While GLSEN's purported goals are to end bullying related to such conditions, the Day of Silence Walkout (DSW) coalition alleges that GLSEN fails to admit that its modus operandi compels public affirmation of homosexual acts and cross-dressing as normal and moral behaviors.

According to the Day of Silence website, "Hundreds of thousands of students at more than 8,000 schools" participate, including increasing numbers of middle schools.

"Although the Day of Silence Walkout coalition supports the goal of ending all bullying, we do not support any effort to end bullying that involves normalizing disordered and dangerous behaviors," stated the pro-family group.

DSW called the Day of Silence "just one of many contexts in which students are exposed to homosexuality-affirming ideas in public schools."

"And while public schools expose students to resources that affirm homosexuality, they engage in absolute censorship of all resources that espouse dissenting views," said the group.

"The Day of Silence Walkout is one of the few efforts parents have available to express their unequivocal opposition to both the means and the message of the Day of Silence."

The coalition urges parents to call their children out of school if the school administration complies with the Day of Silence.

I like the idea if it’s silent homosexuals.

Why does anybody need to run around hollerin’ about their sexual preferences?!

You do who you want and like, how you want and like and leave the rest of the country out of it.

Let the children who don't want to participate talk twice as much to replace all the hot air of the “dissenting” students.

If you are straight, do you get to have all the attention of acting out in class as well?

Won’t have to. The public school district I live in doesn’t encourage this tripe.

And here's an example of Jennings' handiwork - the infamous and sickening "Day of Silence" - encourging children acroos the country to identify and empathize with "oppressed gay students" - kids as young as middle school. This helps create more homosexual kids*, and a future voting block who will see homosexuals as a repressed minority, rather than as mentally ill people who need help to change, not accomodation or control.

*Basically confused and often lonely kids who get convinced that "I am gay" by homosexual counselors, other already self-identified "gay" students, and indoctrination materials, often including info about "gay" porn sites and hangouts where they can meet older homosexuals.

I like the idea if it’s silent homosexuals.

Don't get the idea that their "silence" is in any way meant to be unobtrusive and inconspicuous. This day is all about the sodomites, and all about attention being showered on them. They will be wearing obnoxious gadgets to get their point across: tape over their mouths, t-shirts "shouting" what they are all about, handing out literature about why they are not talking, etc. Really quite childish and, frankly, pathologically regressive.

Some silence.

There have, in fact, been a couple of incidents of Christian students countering the sodomite message by wearing t-shirts during the DOS condemning homosexuality as sin, or merely questioning its legitimacy. These students were told to remove or cover the messages or be sent home.

Some classrooms have “participation” factored into the grading process. If a student chooses to be silent instead of join in discussion then it should reflect negatively on their grade.
