I am sitting here at the dining room table -- more like the War Room -- planning with our SBA List team what could be the culminating battle of the fight to defeat this abortion-laden health care bill. Every minute, new information comes in about a wavering member of Congress or a tidbit of strategic information from Republican or Democratic leadership.
Having jumped in, I realize now it is important to step back out for just a few minutes.
Without prayer, I am 100 percent sure we will lose. With it, the consciences of wavering members can be lifted up and emboldened. While we are not a religious organization, we cannot succeed without prayer as the wind in our sails. So will you please take just a few minutes, join the 280,760 members of our SBA List family around our virtual dining room table and pray that this bill fails and our nation's children will be protected from the carnage that would result from its passage? This is a defining moment when prayer -- our most powerful lobbying tool-- cannot be left on the table.
The leaders -- especially Bart Stupak, Eric Cantor, Michele Bachmann, John Boehner and Mike Pence who have led the charge in these final days to protect Life and warn others that THIS IS NOT A GAME, need our support and prayer. Pray that they enter the battle this weekend with the same energy and courage and love they have shown thus far.
Also, here is a list of undecided Members of Congress that so you can pray for each by name. These folks are under intense pressure on all sides. Their struggles do not go unnoticed, but pray that through all the clutter they see the clearest reminder of what this is about: the babies that will be lost if this bill passes.

I pray that God will save our country from those who would destroy it and everything it has stood for.
I’m praying hard, and I’ll keep praying. If this bill passes our nation will be in serious trouble.

Lord, the nation has been asleep for so long; thank You for waking millions, but there are still millions to be awakened!
Lord, let this nation get on their knees tonight, asking for a true revolution, one that will maintain our freedoms and ousting this tyrannical government in the November elections.
God, it is imperative that this bill NOT pass. Lord, we want to protect the millions of innocent children. Lord, we want people to have the right to choose their OWN health care and live Your rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Lord, we were NOT created to be a socialist nation! We were NOT created to live under tyranny! For You died to set us free!
Lord, as our House of Representatives votes tomorrow, fill each representative’s mind and show them who they need to represent! Show them that they need to be fighting for freedom and justice!
Lord, we pray against the socialist advance and we pray against the forces of darkness. We ask that there will be freedom in America again, in Jesus’ Name!

Father in Heaven, You alone hold the outcome of this battle. We lift up those who are convicted to oppose this bill and ask that You give them strength. We ask that You calm their hearts and encourage them with Your precious love. And we stand in unity with them, Lord. We declare that this nation reveal your heart and your mercy - not a mandate of fear. It is You alone who can change the hearts of kings. And while we pray for those who will support the cause of Righteousness and protection of those who cannot fend for themselves, we also pray for those who stand in the way. Your Word says that we should pray for our enemies. So we lift up those in leadership who are trying to subject their will in opposition to Your Kingdom. We ask that You reveal Yourself to Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, Barack Obama, and all those who are wavering in support of this bill. Show them Your truth, O Lord. Bless them with Your kindness and mercy. And raise them up to be ones after Your heart. Father, I speak blessings over them all - not out of the darkness that dwells in my heart, but out of love and obedience to You. Thank you, Father, for saving me and giving me unlimited inheritance in Your family. And I ask that You do the same for those who stand in the way of the liberty that You have given me. Give to them this most precious gift that has forever changed me.
My trust is in you alone, Lord. I know that no matter what happens, You are my deliverer and my refuge, my intercessor and my strength, my provider and my source in all things. Thank you, Heavenly Father.
