It would also allow the states to sue the federal government.
Idaho Governor "Butch" Otter has signed into law a measure that would require the state's attorney general to sue congress if the new health care bill passes.
"To protect the people of Idaho, which is one of our first obligation as a government, is the right thing to do," said Governor Otter.
That law is very similar to the Health Care Freedom Amendment Kansas Representative Aaron Jack (R) Andover and a number of other lawmakers are trying to pass in Topeka.
"We just need to make sure the citizens here in Kansas are never forced to be a part of a program," said Jack
The proposed state constitutional amendment says Kansans could not be punished if they do not participate in a government mandated insurance program and Kansans can pay directly for healthcare if they choose.

This is too funny. Congress will pass a law that won’t be obeyed by well over half the country. I think we need a list of the leech states who want thing thing.
LOL, yeah the feds will cover it. Let's see now, where do the feds get their money again?
Thank you. :)
Both the income tax (a curse on the “Progressives” from the 1890’s to the present) and selective service are part and parcel of powers granted by the states to the Federal government under the Constitution. Requiring people to buy a service—health insurance—that cannot legally be sold across state lines is not, not even by the most generous interpretation of the interstate commerce clause.
If we do a constitutional amendment, though, can we fix the interstate commerce clause in the process so it means only what it says, not what the courts have expanded it to?
Yep and all the states have to do is withhold payment of federal withholding tax on all state and federal workers. They can put it into a trust to offset any moneies withheld by the feds.
Some of the worst won’t come out for a year or two, but yes, some parts of it are going to be known right away, and even the ‘Rats won’t be happy.
We need a movement to give out state legislatures the spine to tell the feds to fix their own d*mned roads and to shut down federally mandated programs if the feds cut off funds.
Yes, it will take time to fully see what it is about but all of the text will be published and there will be no changing it to avoid debating it as it has been up until now.
exactly. It’s the Rat’s math.

barry and company don’t recognize the US Constitution.
37 states is getting up into the federal constitutional amendment territory - something like “all provision of life-sustaining services such as healthcare, housing, and food shall be the province of the individual states and not of the federal government”......
Thats pretty close to 4/5 or 80%, 37 out of 50 or 74%.Has anyone talked about a constitutional amendment to stop this takeover.
For fatnotlazy: As good a site as I've been able to find tracking health care nullification activity is THE TENTH AMENDMENT CENTER.
And we do not recognize them. An interesting scenario, isn’t it? We do live in very interesting times and I’m thinking the pot is about to boil over!! They should NEVER have crossed the American people!!
I think that idea is already percolating as some states are already coming out against it. I will be calling my state reps and senators at the state level tomorrow....
Time to wake up those still ‘sleeping’! Pray up if you are a praying person, and then get active and involved. I just signed up for Heritage, and for the young CONSERVATIVE African American lady’s campaign who is running against my commie congressman.
And flood the RNC with NO MORE boring ditch water Dole’s, or RINO McCains, find us an Ronald Reagan! A man or woman with FIRE in the BELLY and the charisma to be on TV.
Kansas: A brave conservative state bold enough to challenge Ofascist Frontman and his Deathcare package.
Surely the globalist elite are gloating behind the scenes, but the American middle class remain steadfast and defiant. Go Kansans!
