McCain: Congrats to Kennedy...But the Fight Goes On

When I asked John McCain what he would say to his old friend Ted Kennedy this morning, he smiled and said "Congratulations."

But he had nothing good to say about the legislation that passed the House late last night.

Calling it "a massive government takeover of the health care system," he promised the GOP would fight it on all fronts: challenging the reconciliation "fix" bill in the Senate, moving more broadly to repeal the bill later this year, questioning its Constitutionality in the courts and, of course, hoping to reap electoral gains come November.

To 40 - She, as did a lot of others, gave Stupak the benefit of the doubt. Stupak's capitulation should not be used to cast aspersions on Palin or any others on the Right who hoped Stupak would stand strong.

Palin has no excuse for endorsing, supporting, and campaigning for McCain when McCain's opponent is the conservative in the race.
Perhaps more Republicans and conservatives should take a good, hard look at Mike Pence. Though he may not be interested in seeking the '12 GOP nomination.

F.U.J.M.!!!!

Millions of Americans were hopeful, yet suspicious of Obama. he wasn’t passing the smell test. They wanted to vote for him but their instincts told them something wasn’t right. YOU gave millions of Americans sitting on the fence permission to vote for Obama when you told them they have nothing to fear in an Obama Presidency.

Nothing to fear!?! How stupid could you have been!?!

I’m tired of saluting you for your sacrifice. I hate you. Go to hell!

Unlike McCain, some of us do not care to suck up to our political enemies who demonize us at every turn, and totally ignore us. We are aware and sophisticated enough to realize that the clucks at dailyKos, MoveOn, and the DU are not in any way, shape, or form our friends, and we view them accordingly.

Thought you’d be interested to know what McShame would say to Kennedy if he were alive. I hope JD uses it in his upcoming ad.

I wish McCain was our president.

Why? So he could engage in "bipartisan compromise" with the Democrats all day long?

Ted didn’t seem to particularly concerned about Mary Jo’s health care.

Nor are Dems for Obamacare particulary concerned about our health care.

In the meantime, support the AG’s in having Barry’s bill ruled unconstitutional.

"...problem with McCain is he had no real "fire in the belly"

A reasonable conclusion if you don't realize McCain - like his mini-me Graham - are double dealing. Graham was once caught leaving a secret meeting with Democrats and is quoted as responding "Republican by day. Democrat by night."

McCain shows plenty of fight when it comes to McCain-Feingold. He even continued to defend and advocate it even after SCOTUS found it unconstitutional. He did not congradulate oponnent of McCain-Feingold

Ditto for Amnesty. In fact in the middle of the fight against this Obamacare travesty, McCain's mini-me was working out a deal with Schumer for an Obama Amnesty. And if McCain was running for reelection he'd be fighting that Amnesty fight with plenty of "fire in the belly" - all in memory of his old pal Teddy.

Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence: nor is the law less stable than the fact; if an assault was made to endanger their lives, the law is clear, they had a right to kill in their own defence;

John Adams and the Boston Massacre :-)
