Danny Glover tries to save Hugo Boss jobs in Ohio ( Union loses to Hope and Change )

Actor and activist Danny Glover has offered hugs and moral support to Cleveland-area workers at a men's suit plant that faces a shutdown next month with the loss of 375 jobs.

Glover later held a news conference and appealed to Germany's Hugo Boss AG to reverse its shutdown decision. Glover led a boycott of Hugo Boss formal wear at the Academy Awards earlier this month.

The company says its shutdown decision stands. The company says the union representing workers rejected concessions at the plant, which it says isn't globally competitive.

Maybe Hugo Boxs can land the contract to make the uniforms for Obama’s civilian security force. They have some experience in that area.

I'm just guessing, but I'm doubting the boycott helped the cause.

Good. More companies need to just close down to get rid of their union contracts, hit ‘em where it hurts.

Only a liberal would think that telling people not to patronize a business would help it keep it’s workers employed.

There you go again being all logical and everything. Reality based outcomes have no place in a libtards world.

I have an idea for the racist Mr. Glover. Instead of boycotting, why doesn’t he BUY THE PLANT. Then he can cope with the union, the government, the market, and obamacare. Then, after he loses his shirt and asks for concessions, we can boycott him.

Don’t worry, Danny. The Anointed One will take care of everything from here on out. He will create more jobs than there are people to fill them, and amnesty for illegals will really be a boon for the union thugs.

“The company says the union representing workers rejected concessions at the plant”

Pretty much says it all. The unions are forcing the closing of another plant. They are driving state and local governments into the ground.

Message to Danny Glover: The free enterprise system also allows companies to go out of business...

That’s why I want a boycott of H-Woods lefties.

Let them find out that there are consequences to their actions.

BTW, as a good social Justice guy, did Glover pull out his checkbook and share his wealth with the soon to be unemployed.

Union yes...America works best* when we say....Union yes!

*That's "best" as in "not at all."

the union representing workers rejected concessions at the plant

In journalism this is called "burying the lead."

A hug from Danny Glover or a job? I’d rather have a job.
Maybe the union should have given some concessions so its members would have jobs.

The real contribution of unions to the economic health of the nation...clearly demonstrated in this story.

It’s time to take back the country.

* The Danny Glover marketing plan * ( like the Dixie Chicks marketing plan )...

watching Danny Glover boycott his favorite Union clothing product while the Union commits financial suicide.

Boycotting a company is suppose to save the company??

Did he think this through very well?

And I’m sure those 375 will continue to vote for union bootlicking Democrats because they do so much for them!

Goodbye job....hello unemployment....food stamps....TANF...........Medicaid. And I’d bet money that a fair percentage will decide they are “disabled” and apply for SSD.

When will people wake up—unions are job killers?

When will people wake up—unions are job killers?

Then why are millions of unionized government bureaucrat employees now making substantially more than those in the private sector, while receiving tax paid top shelf benefits and receiving lottery style government retirement pensions?

The steel industry, the auto industry, the textiles industry....gone.

Give them time, they’ll bankrupt the government too.

If conservatives do indeed take back the legislature they need to slip a provision into some behemoth bill that outlaws unions!
