The mini-me fascists in the NYC school department do the same thing, in effect, with the so-called "gifted and talented" testing - if you come from a parochial school, they actively set up the testing conditions to ensure that your child scores at the retard level, or lower.

The Obama administration announced on Tuesday it has reserved 3,000 free tickets to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll for students in D.C.-area public and charter schools, but not for children who attend private or parochial schools.

And last year Obama went out of his way to include children of gay and lesbian couples. This article doesn't mention if they were invited/included this year, but I'm sure you can guess...

Used to be the most natural thing in the world for solid working class Catholics such as my grandparents, only a generation removed from Ellis Island, to vote Democrat. It was only later on that the Dem party became the avatar of the breakdown in values.

When I recall those times (through Grandma’s retelling them), it seemed the most natural thing in the world was to work hard, pay as you go, attend church, join a lodge, raise the children to carry on moral values, and vote for the `party of the little guy’, although it would eventually become the `party of the wealthy liberal hypocrite’.

Then Ronald Reagan came on the scene and we discovered the real champion of ordinary folks.
