Kids climbing trees, now that’s a crisis and needs intervention? Sheesh! I climbed trees, my siblings climbed trees, my friends climbed trees, and I let my kids climb trees. Bad mom! Bad mom!
I had a rule which frustrated my oldest child. No help into the tree and they needed to be sure to climb no farther than they could climb down. That frustrated the oldest because the middle child made it up the tree before she did. The oldest was so mad when I wouldn’t make the middle help her up.
The last time I ever climbed a tree was to retrieve my 9 iron...30 feet.......how it got stuck up there I have no idea.

The teachers AND the principal would have come running, climbed the tree and carried the kid down, berating him the whole time.
