So then FR posting courtesy no longer applies here. Got it. I will do the same from now on.

Must have missed the courtesy change.

LOL! I don’t expect to be pinged by people who are talking about me behind my back.

To do otherwise would be impolite.

Must have missed the courtesy change.

I've noticed a change in courtesy lately around here. If you say anything negative about Sarah Palin - you will be accused of being:

- a troll.

- a Paultard.

- a Romneybot.

- a person who NEVER supported Palin, and is just

trying to stir up trouble for her.

- a person who NEVER says anything bad about

Democrats, just Republicans.

It's getting a little ridiculous, I read on some thread - maybe it was this one - that someone was wanting to get a list together of people who always post bad things about Sarah. Get a grip people!

I’m surprised that anyone posting on this thread is outraged. All the ‘Sarah’s lost me’ people. I’ll bet Sarah never had you in the first place. These threads...on and on and on. SSDD for the Palin haters.

Sorry to hear that bm. My thoughts on this are pragmatic. Sarah shows all the signals of running for the presidency. Now, if a person wants to run for that office in the U.S. in this day and time, she will need to be able to "play the game". As much as we hate that thought, it is reality. Incumbents know where all the tribal trophies are buried. We want the incumbents out. How is that accomplished? Do you form a third party, or do you go with one of the major parties? Major party, right? So you have the "power brokers" in the major party, and McCain is one of the movers and shakers in that click. McCain goes out behind the scenes and gets money and endorsement for Scott Brown and Scott wins in MA. Yet some expect Sarah to tick off the man who can help get her into office so that she can make the changes that she wants to make. As an incumbent with a lot of power and money, Mac. may very well win again. She's not stupid. I would butter up the old boy too.

The problem we conservatives have is not keeping quiet about our plans until we have the game won. I'm betting on Sarah knowing how to play the game in order to win.

Have you ‘read’ the Palin threads? Same people, same nonsense, all the time. Maybe if they’d change their mantras or post threads about their great candidate Palin supporters wouldn’t have to counter them. They’re tiresome. And they complain about the Romney thing at beginning of threads? Ha. Try post after post against Sarah in every Sarah thread.

You have a warped sense of logic, you’re talking about E.V. behind his back because you’re obviously too cowardly to say it to his face.

If Palin should help re-elect John McCain, she has done a disservice to this country and will earn my disrespect.

With rare exception, they start as principled citizens but soon descend into the partisan sewer. Too bad.

One could think that McCain would make a better president than Obama and still think that JD would make a better senator than McCain. In fact a lot of people feel that way.

If you can demonstrate that Palin said people should vote for McCain just because he would be better than Obama, and not because she thought he would be a good president, I will concede the point. What I recall, is that she constantly built him up

You're right. Her circumstance is different from those of us who simply thought that McCain would be a better president than Obama.

Sarah has lost my vote.

Did I miss the announcement that she is running for something?

Anyone on this forum who voted for McCain is being a dumb ol' hypocrite if they would cast aside Palin for endorsing the guy YOU voted for for POTUS.

Well it didn't used to be that way - at one time Sarah Palin had HUGE support on FreeRepublic - but that's crumbling now. I wonder why?

Maybe I did put too much faith in her ability to go "rogue". It hurts me that now, we finally have a chance to maybe get rid of John McCain - and who is making it harder for us? Sarah Palin. That's a kick in the teeth.

The same thing happened with the Rudybots. It is sickening.

I always think actions speak louder than words.

It is easy to go on Facebook or Twitter and say conservative things. We all do that every day. It is easy to go on BOR and Hannity and talk.

Palin is a nice lady and has many nice qualities. So it is unfair to brand her as a bad guy. She is who she is. She likes and supports McCain. That is who she is. She isn’t supporting McCain because she owes him anything. She already did her job in 2008.

What would have been better was to finish the Governor term in Alaska. That would have been powerful. Staying away from McCain would have been good. McCain knows why because he is a long time politician.

I really do not believe she is going to run this time. The TV shows and all of that fluff stuff don’t tell me she is really sold on running.

Hardly. I’m afraid to say what I think of him because I would be bannned in a heartbeat.

Check my posting history, I HAVE said a lot to his face. And even all THOSE four letter words said to his face didn’t begin to convey my contempt.

I’m not going to test the Admins again.

Without McCain picking her in 2008 Palin would be not as visible. While it’s understandable her loyalties McCain is No maverick. While I like and respect Sarah I don’t want her to run on the ticket in 2012. We have other options in the wings or the farm team!

RE :”Does anyone have a list of the Freepers who regularly post on Palin threads, but have never, and will never, support her?

Never is a long time. Do you mean that they posted “I will never support her” on a thread? I like to stay away from ‘always’ and ‘never’ just in case something surprising happens I didnt expect, could that ever happen?

I can’t believe I’m reading this garbage about Sarah Palin on Free Republic.

I also can’t believe I’m reading hosannas about J.D. “Taintworth”. The man was rolling in pork. He’s a poster boy for everything that was wrong with the Hastert/DeLay Republicans. His only virtue is that he WASN’T Randy “Duke” Cunningham.

I mean, look, McCain has been a dirtbag to Movement Conservatives, but Taintworth is going to get slimed in the General and lose to the Boy Scout the Dems are ramping up.

That said, Sarah’s people have made it known to JD’s people that she’s endorsing McCain out of loyalty and that she’s going to stay out of the rest of the primary. You people have to understand that the Arizona GOP Senate race is akin to a Small businessman having to choose between the Barzinis and the Tattaglias for “protection”. There are NO saints in this campaign.

Well, except for Palin, and she’s on her way to Searchlight to deal with Harry Reid.

Best,

Chris

Fair point, I’m talking about those who are in this with a hidden agenda. An agenda uncovered by other Freepers, where any kind of back and forth is simply a waste of words.
