A President Romney would make no apologies
The Lowell Sun ^ | 03/26/2010 | Peter Lucas

Here is one thing I am certain about: A President Mitt Romney would never have bowed to anyone -- not to Saudi King Abdullah, not to Japanese Emperor Akihito.

Here's another thing: A President Romney would not have traveled around the world badmouthing his country and making apologies for it.

Here's a third: A President Romney would never have ordered the closing of the prison at Guantanamo Bay or lowered the American flag in Haiti.

.... and Romney is certainly actual proof that Juan McLame was a better choice.(Yes, I just bit my tongue.)

I would vote to return 0bongo to the WH first. That way at least you know exactly which flavor of lying scumbag you’re voting for.

Ask Taxachusetts how Romneycare is working out for them ... never mind, in a couple of years we’ll all know.

"So, if the GOP wants me to not sit out this next election, they better put a true conservative on the ballot. "

I used to think the other way - you know, about "sitting out the election yada yada" - but now I'm inclined to agree with you.

I also want them to have closed primaries, which is the usual reason we get RINO's...the dems cross over and vote in our primaries to give themselves the "weakest" opponent, i.e. Juan McCain't.

Romney thinks his buddy Scott Brown is his ticket to get elected, but frankly, I haven't been all that impressed with Scott Brown either.

"....I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation’s military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share." - Mitt Romney

On another thread, someone has raised the question: will the partners of "gays and lesbians serving openly and honestly" be entitled to military benefits?

Somehow I sense the answer is, "You bet your ass they will!"

That's exactly where Romney would take the U.S., and it would be remembered as being on the Republican watch, not a Democrat watch; Democrats would escape responsibility. Romney is a phony and bad for the future of the GOP.

True. He’s unapologetic about his gov’t health care in Mass. He’s unapologetic about supporting ObamaCare. He’s unapologetic about talking out of both sides of his mouth.

Mitt Romney: ”I have not apologies for the attacks of my staff
on either candidate Gov. Palin or her children.
You may want to ask yourself “why should we trust
someone who attacks GOP candidates and their children?“

"Frum ... (Romney supporter called Gov. Palin’s) nomination a "huge mistake" October 13 (2008)"

" 80 percent of Romney's former staff was absorbed by McCain
and these individuals were responsible for what amounts
to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."

"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off
….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
... was Nicolle Wallace's husband."

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

“I agree with that but feedback that I’m getting says that Romney is expected to be the GOP nominee.”

In 2006 Rudy and Hillary were expected to be nominees.

I have been flamed here and other place for saying I will not vote for a rino, and I will not! I am voting my conscience. Romney is merely a liberal of a different color. He is pro baby killing, no matter what kind of bull he now spouts. He forced every citizen of Ma. to purchase health care. He is as anti gun as any democrat out there. His health care fiasco showed fiscal irresponsibility. Who does this guy sound like?

I wouldn't believe Mitt Romney if his tongue and hair came notarized.

So great it had to be reposted! [^)

Obama is certainly actual proof that WE CAN DO FAR WORSE THAN A PRESIDENT ROMNEY.

Yeah, but we should try to do better than Carter as well.

Mitt Romney: ”Now that my Romneycare is national, a little self examination
may be in order for you FReepers.
You may want to ask yourself “if I had spent my time promoting
RomneyCare and Mitt Romney , could not I have garnered more support
of both Obama and Mitt Romney?“

“Romney praises Obama
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney praised President Obama
at a GOP fundraising dinner Wednesday ..
"I also think it's important for us to nod to the president when he's right," Romney said....
Romney, who spoke at a dinner for the National Republican Senatorial Committee,
said he's pleased with the president's plans to "finish the job" in Iraq and Afghanistan
-- lines that drew applause from the partisan audience. He also applauded the president
for standing up to the auto industry.
"I hope he continues to be tough ....The former businessman even offered faint praise for
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, saying that after a series of initial missteps,
"I think he's finally getting close to the right answer."

“A President Romney Would Make No Apologies”

Yea, I’ve never even heard him apologize for using
FAKE police badges to violate traffic laws...

Yea, I’ve never heard him apologize for advocating pro choice positions.

Yea, I’ve never heard him apologize for his government mandates.

Yea, I’ve never heard him apologize for appealing to the man-daters.

Yea, I’ve never heard him apologize for his countless and underhanded dirty tricks in the last campaign.

I don’t think Mitt apologizes. He just lies and goes on.

It’s the RINO way.

Romney = RINOmney

Sarah Palin outshines Mitt Romney by far, though her current involvement with the McCain campaign raises questions about whether this is simply a one-time thing to return a favor to McCain or if her sights are genuinely that low.

I agree, HiTech RedNeck. Sarah was the big +++ on the Luke Skywalker ticket.

I met his father George once; a good man and manager, if a bit liberal.

A bit liberal? Michigan's state income tax came about under George's regime as governor.

Except for the returning Zero to the White House part, I agree with you. Our country shouldn’t have to put up with one more day of him, God help us if it’s 7 more years.

Heck, it’s not just Romney or McCain, anyone of the ‘08 Republican candidates would be an improvement, or even Jackie Mason for that matter.
