FBI agents conduct raids in Mich., Ohio, Ind.

ADRIAN, Mich. – The FBI said Sunday that agents conducted weekend raids in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio and arrested at least three people, and a militia leader in Michigan said the target of at least one of the raids was a Christian militia group.

Federal warrants were sealed, but FBI spokeswoman Sandra Berchtold said there had been activity in two southwest Michigan counties near the Ohio state line. She wouldn't say whether they were tied to the raids in the other states.

FBI spokesman Scott Wilson in Cleveland said agents arrested two people Saturday after raids in two towns in Ohio. A third arrest was made in northeast Illinois on Sunday, a day after a raid took place just over the border in northwest Indiana.

Michael Lackomar, a spokesman for the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia, said one of his team leaders got a frantic phone call Saturday evening from members of Hutaree, a Christian militia group, who said their property in southwest Michigan was being raided by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

"They said they were under attack by the ATF and wanted a place to hide," Lackomar said. "My team leader said, 'no thanks.' "

The report on the Detroit News stated that someone had made a threat to Muzzies.

Do you think that would really upset our Liar-in-Chief?

They burn Sarah Palin’s church, and nothing happens. Some nutcase makes an “alleged” threat to a Muslim and this is the reaction.

Caution is in order here, until more comes out.

When I searched this it was over on DU. The crazy Dems are on top of this, and I would not rule out their involvement. They see the November Tsunami coming and are trying to do damage control.

Carl Drega is a type like that man who flew the small aircraft into the IRS offices in Texas recently. These types always come off their rails first.

We can empathize with people like Drega and the IRS Kamakazi, but at the same time know that we are currently far from their point of exasperation.

But what will more normal and rational people do at their point of exasperation? The question begs asking! I'm not talking about suburbanites living in the cul-de-sac neighborhood who are upside down on their home loans who quake in fear at the sight of an EBR. You know who I'm talking about.

The people I'm referring to won't wear cammo and pose for a group photo on their website. They won't HAVE a website. They won't give up arms however, and right now if I were a guessing person, I'd say they are just on the verge of having some closed door meetings about how to handle a certain few problems we might be faced with in the coming months.

...just a guess.

I read The Detroit News article linked on #193.

muzlems “now” working with the (feds)...cair mention...

http://detnews.com/article/20100328/METRO/3280313/Seven-arrested-in-FBI-raids-linked-to-Christian-militia-group=

(Can’t post anything from that news source due to lawsuit.)

Lots of details many would find VERY interesting. It appears that a U.S.-based islamic militia group has worked with the government to bring about these raids on what is basically a survivalist Christian militia. Homeland Security and Napolitano have their fingerprints all over this one.

Heads up, folks. The repression is going into high gear!

More like they want public opinion to sway against any creation of a militia force.

And they are already collecting diseased comrades to toss over Sarah Palins fortresses.

They were reportedly accused of making threats to Muzzies.

We shall see if this really happened or if this is the crazy Dems trying to do damage control. They know the November Tsunami is coming.

They are all diseased. Liberalism is a mental disorder. In order to embrace Liberalism, one must supress all reason and adopt a blind hate faith.

the authorities need no reason to arrest any one of us...least of all, a bunch of Christian Militia members.

So who's your inside source? What WAS the reason for the raid? Come on damn it, somebody's got to know the truth around here so it might as well be you!

Fill us in dude!

From: Detroit News

http://www.detnews.com/article/20100328/METRO/3280313/1361/Seven-arrested-in-FBI-raids-linked-to-Christian-militia-group

This is the article I was referring to. Found it initially on DU, when I searched the group’s name. Then found the original article.

From the article:

Dawud Walid, executive director of the Council on Islamic-American Relations of Michigan, made an announcement Sunday during the group’s 10th anniversary banquet about receiving a call from a network journalist about the alleged threat against Muslims.

“Don’t allow this news to scare you away from practicing your faith,” said Walid.

Audible gaps were heard throughout the banquet hall when the news was announced. Walid said he will call local authorities about more information on the allegations. He urged local Muslims to recommitt themselves to their faith in light of the accusations.

Of course it conflicts with the 2nd Amendment.

If Miller’s attorneys had showed up for his case before the Supreme Court, they could have pointed out that sawed-off shotguns were very useful in the end-stages of trench warfare, and thus thereby protected.

But, at that point Miller was either disappeared or dead, and nobody was paying them, and they didn’t show.

Good guess IMHO.

In the dynamics of what we're watching, it's a logical assumption. Of course, numerous other things could pan out. But there's a whole lot that's predictable if you stand back 10,000 feet and look at it as a larger picture.

IIRC SCOTUS decided that a shotgun was not a military weapon and therefore exempt from 2A protections.
