Is this the Rockefeller you refer to:
“The announcement immediately drew fire from Democratic Sen. Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia”?
??
It appears that the WV democrat is on board with the coal companies.

Byrd had been brain-dead for years. The only time his lips move is when one of his aids sticks a finger up his butt.

Another case of democrats cutting their own throats. This decision is very likely to cost two career democrat Congressmen their jobs this November. Rahall and Molohan were once considered the safest of the safe seats, reelected over and over by the pro-union coal miners in their districts. Now they are in a fight for their political survival. By siding with the environmentalists, democrats have pushed pro-union coal miners into the Republican column, something unthinkable a few years ago.

Yes, it was at the Kingston, TN TVA fossil plant. That’s the irony of it all.
Personally, I do not like the whole idea of the TVA, despite the progress that it has provided over the decades.
The TVA flooded the valleys as a part of the New Deal, and now they burn the coal that is taken after the mountains are blown away.
Look, I am no Al Gore-bot. However, I love my country, and this is destroying a big part of it.
There are ways to mine coal that do not include total mountain destruction.

Just how many in this administration have ever worked a real
job and sweated to earn a living? I guess that is what they
are trying to save us from.

Wondering how many voted for Zero because he was a Democrap because they are supposed to be for the working man. WV went for the Republican Presidential candidate in '08....and '04...and '00.
