AZ-Sen. 2010: Joe the Plumber Will Not Stump for McCain (but he says McCain "failed in his duties")

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher, once a prominent face of John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign, said Sunday that he won't be stumping for the Arizona senator in his close race for reelection.

In an interview with FoxNews.com, Wurzelbacher said he was used as a "political tool" during McCain's presidential run and faulted the fourth-term senator for what he described as a weak stance on immigration and border security.

"It's supposed to be a closed border. Why don't you uphold the law instead of trying to change it?" he said. "McCain's been a senator for a long time and he's failed in his duties."

Wurzelbacher, who appeared at a tea party rally of 400 conservative activists in Phoenix on Sunday, said he won't be backing anyone in the Arizona senate race. "I don't want to cloud the issue and create a lot of drama," he said.

In stark comparison with the McCainiac and CINO traitor Palin, Joe the Plumber actually has the balls to do the right thing.

McCain is so evil. We lost the country due to McCain-Feingold. This gave Dems wins in 2006/2008 and O 2008.

Obama has a McCain_Feingold 2 in the works. It is VOTAL for them to hold power. Thanks MCCain - and McCain KNEW what he was doing. He is a trojan horse.

Contribute to JD Hayworth - I did.

It's a complicated issue . . . without a certain amount of loyalty, there can be no effective political party - and since we know there will be a Democrat party, we need an effective opposition to it. So I understand why Palin is doing what she is doing.

I also hope that McCain is defeated in the primary . . .

Inspite of Palin’s best efforts to get a pro-amnesty, pro-global warming, pro-campaign finance control candidate elected, I agree 100% with Joe.

Nobody here would second this quote, would they?

I saw Joe at the tea party in Searchlight. I’m 6”1” and he appeared taller than me. Gotta love Joe. He calls them as he sees them.

McCain did not fail his duties to be a Democrat trojan horse, mole and traitor to the GOP.

McCain-Feingold gave the Dems control in 2006/2008 so the Dems could destroy America.

That's exactly what McCain is doing with Palin. He is a user, and anybody that thinks he will help Sarah out should she need him - is sorely mistaken. He is a back-stabbing opportunist. He wouldn't even let her give a concession speech when they lost. His people treated her like crap and set her up numerous times to look bad.

I think when Sarah "went rogue" - it was to try to WIN the election! She was "in it to win it" - and he was not. I swear, I think the man is a Democrat mole - and I think he asked her to campaign for him KNOWING it would hurt her with conservatives. He is that evil.

When I wrote that, you were one of the people I figured would respond. Sadly, McCain is not (yet) a traitor to the GOP. There are too many RINOS in the GOP right now. His conservative compass somehow got screwed up when he bought a house in Sedona.

I am holding off on judging Sarah. A lot of what she has to say has merit. I am not keen that she is stumping for McCain and this Maverick crap is a bit tired and won't help..maybe that is her code for saying..hay he is such a Maverick he lost this for us.....
So I'll wait to see what Sarah does after the Nov election. I hope she is not tied into being on the campaign trail in a bus for this guy. There are far more important issues that need attention. Let the folks of AZ figure this one out.
If I were living in AZ I would vote for Joe Arpio the sheriff for Senator.
