No link yet, only from live broadcast:

In a press release just handed to Fox by the FBI, the six Michigan residents, two from Ohio, one from Indiana are charged with “seditious conspiracy.”

Reportedly, Hutaree is accused of attempted use of weapons of mass destruction. Charges range from August 2008 to today.

The militia group Hutaree are said to have conspired to oppose by force the authority of the US Government.

The members viewed local, state and federal law enforcement as "the brotherhood," also known as their enemy, and have been preparing, the FBI says, to engage them in armed conflict.

According to one plan released by the FBI, the group was to kill a law enforcement officer, then during the funeral precession, hit again with IEDs to kill more LEOs.

Nobody on this thread should lose his/her head here.

If such charges are true, surely they should have been stopped. My guess is the feds have infiltrated almost all such groups, going back before Obama was in office. Sure, the Dems want to play it up for political purposes, but we don’t want wackos blowing up the police or whatever. Let them have the Bill Ayerses.

That is what I am suggesting.

If innocent, release them; If guilty, hang them.

‘...These are b.s. charges....”

+1
They could probably make those charges on over half of the U.S. population with the sentiment that is in this country right about now.

So it begins. The armed suppression of dissent. Get ready for more. They will use pretexts such as this to round up all of you who aren’t in line with the “new way”.

Exactly, and if this was a Muslim group, everyone on FreeRepublic would be cheering these arrests.

I agree. The timing of the attack relative to the health care grab, the nature of the defendents, the MSM attack dogs screaming that those who oppose “The Divine One” and his holy message are “Homophobes,” “Racists’ and generally bad guys. Note “The Divine One” has flown his magic carpet to Afganistan in order to be surrounded by cheering troops-a real “photo op!”

Maybe they’re bad guys, maybe not, but I do worry that this will be the charge of choice for dealing with any gun owners, tea party members, or members of Christian churches that actually practice Christianity (as opposed to “God D*mn America” kinds of churches).

No press release at the US Attorney office for E.District of Michigan, yet. I'd look there for a copy of the indictment, as well.

News reports describe a press release from the FBI.

Once other officers gathered for the slain officer's funeral, the group planned to detonate homemade bombs at the funeral, killing more, according to newly unsealed court papers.

Prosecutors say one of the militia members downloaded information about how to build the devices from the Internet and emailed diagrams of them to someone he believed was capable of making them. The militia member directed his son and others to begin gathering the materials requires to make them.

Justice Department officials say that nine people -- six from Michigan, two from Ohio, and one from Indiana -- have been charged in what they say was this plot to attack local police.

"Kill a police officer then bomb their funeral. sick."

If true, it is sick...IRA type stuff. But it does beg the question why the Feds have not descended in force out in Hemet, CA where overt acts have already been made against the law enforcement community...

Still no details and a whole lot of if's.

I still have not seen information on even one alarming crime.

ditto

We have seen too much unchallenged sedition and treason emanating from our own Congress and WH to believe in preemptive arrests against a “Christian militia”

Maybe they were inspired by Hillary Clinton’s words from a few years ago....

” I’m sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we’re Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration.”
