A top-ranking, highly decorated officer in the U.S. Army says he's now refusing all orders until President Barack Obama finally releases his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate to prove his eligibility to serve as commander in chief.
"I feel I have no choice but the distasteful one of inviting my own court martial," said Lt. Col. Terry Lakin, an active-duty flight surgeon charged with caring for Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey's pilots and air crew. "The Constitution matters. The truth matters."
"For the first time in all my years of service to our great nation, and at great peril to my career and future, I am choosing to disobey what I believe are illegal orders, including an order to deploy to Afghanistan for my second tour of duty there. I will disobey my orders to deploy because I – and I believe all servicemen and women and the American people – deserve the truth about President Obama's constitutional eligibility to the office of the presidency and the commander in chief.

“top ranking”? Uh...K...actually, middle-ranking since he’s an O-5 and the officer grades go up to O-10. Still, appears to be a gutsy, principled stand. Ultimately unsuccessful and worthless except as a gesture, but...

The only way an officer can be dismissed is to court martial him, convict him and impose a sentence that includes dismissal. On the other hand, a court martial might well open the door to a defense involving seeking the birth certificate info or related info.

That is my thinking to Colonel. If his basis for defense is that a Vault Copy BC would reveal President Obama to not be natural born...then I don’t see how they can get a conviction, that won’t be overturned upon appeal, without providing the evidence to negate his defense. Plus, being a LTC his board on a general court will be officer equal to or greater in rank than himself. These older officers are going to generally be more conservative and consider his demands to be reasonably....at least that is what I think.
I’ve spoken with fellow military personnel that consider his actions to be detrimental to military discipline. However, the nagging question of the POTUS’ NBC status is also causing a discipline problem. IF the POTUS was acting presidential, he would produce the document without further delay.
That is what they did with the other military officer who questioned his deployment as he didn’t consider Obummer was eligible. The day of the case, the military (under orders from Obummer I’m sure) just cancelled his orders to deploy. Then they went on a mission to destroy the guy...got him canned from his civilian job, in which he had held an executive position for years, because the company execs. in that company had to have a top secret clearance, and (again, Obummer I’m sure) revoked his clearance.
Yes, they will just get around it. They’ve done it before.
