Why would he not check “mixed”? His white mother and white grandparents raised him, not his black father. Why deny half your idenity and the genetics of the family who raised you?
He denies it because it is not politically expedient.
Historically it was always the MOTHER who determined a person’s race. Ishmael was born to an Egyptian, a slave, in the deep south, it was never who the father was, but a slave woman always gave birth to a slave. So, in the case of Barry, his race should be ‘white’. But, on another note, I’ve talked to scores of people who are checking false boxes, just to make the government controlled media have glitches. Last time the census takers came around, I told them I was Jewish!
