For me, the main question is whether or not I can trust McCain to be a Conservative and to fight for Conservative positions. Based upon his history in the senate, I have no faith in him. Anyone that votes for McCain believing that he will promote Conservative views is delusional.

There is also an interesting McCain slideshow at the Newsweek site. Just a couple:

Stumping in New Orleans in June, McCain continued to distance himself from the Bush administration, claiming he ‘supported every investigation’ into the government’s role regarding the hurricane.

McCain — pictured in his first year at the Naval Academy — graduated in 1958. While there, he cultivated a reputation for rebellion, earning over 100 demerits and the nickname ‘McNasty.’

Sent 50 to JD a few weeks ago. Send what you can if you care too. What ever you can spare. Past time to send that back stabbing senator home. I seem to recall McCain denigrating conservatives during his presidential campaign. And I use the “campaign” term loosely since all he did was stroll around and defend Obama.

Palin is right. McAmnesty doesn’t go with the Conservative flow. Instead he votes with the socialists most of the time and Palin supports him.

Heard a great line about McStain on Wilkow the other day:

“John McCain: He’s there whenever he needs us.”

“I never considered myself a maverick,” he told me. “I consider myself a person who serves the people of Arizona to the best of his abilities.”

Alex, can I take Bold-Faced Lies for 1000?

He never claimed to be a maverick? That was his entire presidential campaign strategy! He’s really going all out to re-invent himself. This guys reputation for being a straight-shooter is long, long behind him even amongst his former fans in the lib media. I have no doubt he’ll win re-election, but at some point he has to ask himself if maintaining even a shred of integrity might be a fun idea.

The McCain Mutiny: A maverick fights for his political life—and his soul

I hope he loses his political life. He's already lost his soul.

Until (and unless) Sarah Palin pulls free of her McCain entanglement, she is going to lose the tea party types big time. I can understand returning a favor to the fellow who made the choice that sprung her onto the national stage, but how can she possibly stomach lipsticking an obvious pig?

I don’t understand why this thread got sabotaged into Ron Paul-bashing; it’s supposed to be about McLettuce, McCommie, you know, the reason we have a full-fledged Marxist in the White House.

And those of you who don’t live in Arizona and support McCain, have no clue the impact of the invasion we’ve been experiencing. Many, many murders, including the latest one, rest on his head for his support of the criminal invasion. And Ms. Clueless supports amnesty as well, deny all you want what she told the Mexican station.
