Felt it real good in Coronado! I’m still shaking! I’m a Colorado boy and I’m not used to these!

The wife called me — she described it as a strong rolling motion. She is in the SF Valley (sadly, I am again in Richmond, VA — I couldn’t feel it here). That is 200+ miles from the epicenter!

Last report was 20 miles deep — pretty shallow all in all. All looks OK and local coverage has gone back to normal programming.

Is CNN blaming Bush for it?

I think the recent Chile quake was 8.8.

The 1960 Chile quake was 9.5.

A side to side motion here in the west SF valley. It was centered forty miles south of Yuma, AZ in Baja. Any damage there?

You’re in Chula Vista?
I used to live there when I was in the Navy back in ‘93-’97.

Right when the quake hit, I was Google mapping the areas I used to hang out.

So.....
Sorry.
;-)

Did they expect their cars to leave suddenly like animals do when they sense eartquakes coming?

Good plan — you can cushion it with your body when it when it falls.

Priorities, ya know ;)

I used to live in Hollywood, near the Scientology Celebrity Center (I used to call it The Mothership.) Now I’m over by Dan Tana’s and Troubador.

You’re right, the 6.9 in Chile was one of the aftershocks.

Oh wow I hope people closer to the epicenter are okay! I had just stepped out to take a walk to a nearby “Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf” to do some reading and then changed my mind and walked back because I realized it might rain. I did not a feel a thing. So bizarre, this recent upsurge in earthquakes.

LOL... I have three cats. The young one panicked and ran under the bed. The two older ones barely lifted their heads.

Hi sofa, it was nasty one here in SD.
