Late on a spring afternoon last year, my wife, Cheri, and I went to watch our eight-year-old son, Brody, play in the last baseball game of the season. Out on the field was the man who had once promised me the brightest future I could imagine and then abandoned me to national disgrace. He was hiding behind his sunglasses, talking to his son, Jack. Cheri and I sat alone, ignored, as the other parents chatted. Jack and his sister, Emma Claire, who used to play with our kids, looked at us with confusion in their eyes, and we overheard one of the mothers in the crowd whisper something about "the Youngs". When the game ended, my old friend, boss and mentor walked the long way to his car so he could avoid us. It was the last time I would see John Edwards.

I cannot muster any sympathy for Mr Young. He willingly aided and abetted Edwards in all his schemes, and admits as much. Now Young is apparently hurt and surprised that Edwards treated him with the same callous disregard that he showed for his wife and family.

After reading this ‘excerpt’ not only will I discourage anyone from buying the book, I think I’ll go spend the rest of the day in the shower.
Your kids should know what a loyal swell guy you are. Or else he's going to hear it from all the neighbors. And in the south, forget being chums with John Edwards, I wouldn't expect Brody to have much of a social life period. People down there have long memories and know a rat when they see one.
He’s learning that to Dems and Libs trust is nothing but the condition necessary for betrayal to occur.
The media kept silent on John Edwards story long enough to ensure Hillary was beaten by Obama.

It is a perfect metaphor for the Democrat Party, and for what is happening right now.
All the Blue Dogs and “moderates” are being used for the so-called greater good.
Just as Edwards used and abused Youngs’ starry-eyed loyalty for his self aggrandizing agenda, Obama, Nancy and Harry are willing to sacrifice everyone elses career to build legislative monuments to themselves.
This whole story is the modern Democrat Party in action, but without the MSM filter.
Andrew Young was engaging in a process to lie to America. So that John Edwards could become the President of America. Both of you were engaging in lies, and if known scandalous behavior. It is right to be stung by disappointment, yet all that time you (Andrew) were also betraying Ameica; which evidently to you was okay.
God is not mocked. He allows us to reap what we sow.
