Coulter Defends Steele, DNC ‘In No Position’ to Complain...With Dems' Past Playboy Parties and All

Ann Coulter for one has refused to pour gasoline on the Voyeur fire - pledging her full support and offering praise for RNC Chairman Michael Steele.

As Good Morning America's George Stephanopoulos so touchingly pointed out to Steele, a few Republican leaders have been publicly highly critical of Steele and according to a "poll of insiders" only 20 percent consider him an asset to the party.

"Everyone seemed to like him and recently it's like story after story after story - is this guy being villainized?" Fox Business Channel's Eric Bolling asked Coulter on the April 5 "Happy Hour."

I’m far less concerned about that than I am at the fact that he’s a liberal who can’t resist playing the race card.

Good on Ann. Good for her, it’s time someone spoke up on behalf of Steele. Smart, smart lady.

The only ones who are pouring gasoline on the fire are the media, Steele himself and the Democrats. Steele’s obligation is to the GOP, not whoring a bunch of sound bytes for the media. Until he shows initiative to actually lead the GOP toward victory, I am calling for him to walk away from the job he now holds.

Then that’s the first time she’s let me down. Steele is an embarrassment to what’s left of the GOP, and if he’s still there in November, we’ll pay dearly for it. He has been everything the democrats want us to have in November, another idiot McCain in an affirmative action suit.

I’d give Steele a pass on this, allowing him the excuse that it happened under his radar—IF he hadn’t already screwed up 99 different ways already.

Is he the kind of guy who would approve of a party meeting at a lesbian bondage club? Well, judging from the rest of his record, I just don’t know. There are few signs in his regular handling of the job that he has any moral values or common sense.

That makes it part of a pattern of incompetence. Sorry, no pass.

This isn’t about bondage-gate. Steele essentially whined to Snuffleupagus that blacks like him and Obama have it tougher than everyone else in this country. Last time I looked, Obama was the leader of the free world, and Steele was the leader of the GOP. Real leaders don’t have time to sit around whining.

The RNC tossed the woman involved most directly in the Voyeur-gate event.

You think that got past ANN?

When you put someone in a position of importance whose main qualifications are that he is black he may or may not work out. This did not work out.The best thing is to wait until the end of the election season and give him a good way to back out gracefully. In the mean time the RNC should satart delegating some of his functions.

++++++++++++++++

But there’s a subtle important difference here. I’m not so certain that Coulter is defending Steele as much as saying inasmuch as you blast on Rs for being corrupt YOU MUST blast on RATS for being corrupt as least as much.

She’s pointing out the sheer hypocrisy of the RATS and their press cronies for not pointing out and harping on RAT corruption and hypocrisy.

You can do that, while still thinking and saying that what happened was wrong, and also not necessarity ultimately supporting RINO Steele.

I think so too, La. But I think there is so much going on in the “inside DC” insane power struggle asylum that we may be getting a tenth of reality.

I think Steele needs to go... but not for this.

Steele is a RINO, and for *THAT*, we need to show him the door. Trying to kick him out on some half-@ssed morality charge makes us out to be a bunch of prissy old ladies with our panties in a wad.

“...but the dems are sleazy too!”

Until our "religious" base stops having a hissy fit every time a Republican has a minor moral failing, the Dims will continue to trot out this crap to split us.

Michael Steele may not be Reagan, but he isn't Satan either. I think Reagan probably had sex.

I’ve always had a lot of respect for Ann. Now I have even more. Instead of focusing on Michael Steele, we should be concentrating on the real adversaries. Enough of the circular firing squad on our side, already.

Steele should have been fired when the RNC backed the lib Dede last year in favor of the REAL Republican. Then the lib throws her support for the rat in the race and we lost one vote against ZeroCare.

When you don’t do the right thing - it will catch up to you at the wrong time.
