Trey Grayson's "Strange Relationships" Popping Up In Comments
Bluegrass Bulletin ^ | 04/06/2010 | Marcus Carey

Posted on 04/06/2010 3:00:24 PM PDT by speciallybland

Earlier today one person who commented on my post "Rand Paul's Latest Ad Raises Questions" suggested that Trey Grayson has some "strange relationships." Since then others have jumped on the suggestion and begun digging deeper into Grayson's relationship with the group who lobbied for AIG, "DC Navigators, LLC".

It will be remembered that only a few weeks ago the Grayson campaign proudly announced that they had received the endorsement of Dick Cheney. Today we learn that Cheney's daughter, Mary Cheney, has been an officer of the AIG lobbying firm.

Then it was revealed that Cesar V. Conda, the former Cheney aide who spearheaded the effort to undermine Rand Paul on behalf of Grayson, is a "founding principal" at DC Navigators, LLC, now known as "Global Navigators".

What seems to have developed out of this discussion is a much closer tie between Grayson and the firm which lobbied for AIG than might have originally appeared to be the case (merely hosting a beltway fund raiser for Grayson) as suggested by the "Washington Machine" commercial recently aired by Rand Paul.

Which of course raises an interesting question: why would those affiliated with this lobbying group be so opposed to Rand Paul and seemingly so favorable to Trey Grayson?

Grayson’s problem IMO is he's wholly opened by Mitch McConnell and folks know it.

If I was a Paulbot, I wouldn’t talk about others’ strange relationships.

Ummm, tough question...
it's either a vast conspiracy, or they don't like him very much.

I'll get back to you on that.

What strange relationships do Rand have?

Being the son of Ron Paul doesn't mean anything.

AIG is Liberal Globalist.....Rand Paul is not. Obvious why AIG and its minions would be so afraid of Paul.

Greyson is the one pushed by another America-hating Globalist, Mitch McConnell.....remember McConnell refused to support Jim Bunning for another term.

You're right, it doesn't mean anything, it means everything.

Whatever the semantics, it sure is working for him:

Double-digit lead for Rand Paul in multiple polls with the primary just over a month away (May 18).

Doesn’t change that he’s chin-deep in Truther moneybombs thanks to his family connections.

Even if that was the truth, and you've provided and cannot any solid proof of any significant amount of money coming to Rand Paul from such people, I'd still be a lot less offended by that than getting money from the AIG lobbyists. One bilked American taxpayers of 182 billion dollars, and they're backing ashTrey.

I have been watching some of these threads for a few months and I notice that no one ever seems to try very hard to sell Trey Grayson, after a month or more of that, I came to the conclusion that Governor Palin and Steve Forbes probably endorsed the better of the two candidates.

It would be a lot easier to think that Rand was deeply flawed if he didn’t have such solid support of the state wide electorate, while the well known Grayson does so poorly among the state’s voters.

Go look it up, n00b. I’m not doing your work for you. I’m sick of you paid hacks trashing Secretary Grayson for your Truther-supported Paleo moonbat.

"I came to the conclusion that Governor Palin and Steve Forbes probably endorsed the better of the two candidates."

And you'd be wrong. They don't know Junior Paul at all.

No, he's not wrong at all. It's right here for you:

"Rand Paul will do the work to fight for lower taxes and spending and for more freedom in Washington" -Steve Forbes

"I’m proud to support great grassroots candidates like Dr. Paul." -Sarah Palin
