Young adults in the United States are being squeezed out of the labor force as older workers either delay retirement or seek jobs to rebuild nest eggs destroyed by the recession, a study showed on Wednesday.

The size of the labor force fell 6.3 percent for young workers, but increased 8.5 percent for workers 55 years and older between December 2007 and January 2010, according to the study by the Washington-based Economic Policy Institute (EPI).

The liberals have been trying to solve this problem by implementing euthanasia programs, but the conservatives keep obstructing progress.

Backs broke bending digging holes to plant the seeds
The owners ate the cane and the workers ate the weeds
Put the wood in the stove, the water in the cup
You worked so hard that you died standing up

Understood and I’ve met some people like that. I’m vested with two different companies but there’s no way their retirement benefits will add up for me to retire so I may be one of them someday.

But there are people like my older brother who is socially inept and just bounces from one poor-paying job to the next.

And then there are druggies who just can’t hold a job because their brains aren’t functioning well enough to stay employed.

And, of course, there are mothers returning to the job market after 20-25 years of raising children. Everyone has their story.

I lament that back in the 60s and 70s when I was growing up, I rarely saw old people in jobs that folks in their 20s largely do and, today, they’re everywhere.

That's a real purdy red pill, but I heard the blue pill is half the price of the red pill.

Sounds like young people need to 1) get a work ethic, 2) come to the shocking realization that the world doesn't revolve around them, 3) learn how to dress, speak, write and behave like an adult, and just for good measure 4) think twice about getting the fingertips-to-jawbone tattoos.

I would add: 5) pull up your pants, for crying out loud! (I guess this could fall under item 3, but it bears repeating)

Some may be working because they don’t like sitting around after retirement. My FIL worked at a hospital as an orderly after he retired from chemical engineering. Was still doing that in his 80s when he died. He liked being around people and helping others and staying busy. His hospital job gave him the chance to do that. Plus, he drove my MIL nuts when he was just hanging around the house with nothing to do. He started critiquing her housecleaning.

Considering where I fall on this Logan’s Run time line. I think I’m more likely to be in favor of extremely late term abortions for these mal-educated Libtards who “feel” they have a right to pay without ever having worked.
