Declan McCullagh, the author, might write for CBS, but he's pro Second Amendment from the articles that I've seen from him, maybe half a dozen so far.
If that's so, then more power to him, but he made an idiotic statement, nonetheless. The very maneuver he described was key to our Congress gaming Obamacare through the legislative process and into law.

Myself, I prefer dealing with the proposal itself, which I would translate as something like "Line in the sand." We all have our limits, but I have to believe that this proposed law meets that qualification for a materially significant number of people.
