I know the answer. It's my fault. It's because of me, and tens of millions of other Americans just like me. We create the demand for illegal immigrant labor not because of anything we do but because of all the things that we will not do -- at any wage. Even as someone who juggles several jobs, I have to admit that my work ethic -- especially for hard, physical labor -- is a distant second to that of my immigrant grandfather who came from Mexico legally in the early 1900's.
My grandfather was a farm worker who would make it a point to show up to a job early and start working a half hour before he clocked in, as his way of showing appreciation to his employer for hiring him. There are days when my employer doesn't see me before noon, because I'm writing somewhere else or giving a speech or making my kids breakfast.
My grandfather would do any kind of work without complaint and graciously accept whatever wages were offered because he felt as if the employer was doing him a favor by giving him a way to support his family. When I start a new job, I instinctively negotiate for a higher salary and more vacation time than I had at my last one -- that is, more money for less work -- and I usually feel like I'm doing the employer a favor by showing up.

Quit paying Americans to not work, and after the first few get shot in the riots, Americans will be begging for jobs that Americans just won't do.

Also, it is a myth that legalizing the illegal immigrants will put an end to illegal immigration.
The need is low cost workers. After a few years, you can MOVE UP in your field. If you are legal, you have no obstacles to getting a job elsewhere. Which means a need to get more low cost laborers until they become educated and skilled enough to move on to something else here...
Keeping them as non-resident laborers means their time here is to be LIMITED, not permanent.

Used to be that there used to be pride in working a blue collar / brown collar job, this pride was destroyed by the “oh so great society” of the 60’s. The Lib elite would say that it is better to work in a desk job or a starving artist than it is to scrub floors for a living. There used to be many more native born Janitors in this country. But when it became easier to collect a check from the government to scrub floors, well that kinda went to pot.
My Grandfather worked many of the so called “jobs americans don’t want to do”. And he was frugal with his earnings and was able to buy a house for him and my grandma.
It seems the libs weather they like it or not want to encourge the creation of a a socio-economical lower class in the form of “cheap illegal alien fraudulent labour”.
The current situation poisons the well for those on welfare to get off of it as well.
How does a welfare recipient get a job if they are being undercut by sub-minimum wage labour.

In my life I have mowed lawns, cut brush, shoveled snow, unplugged toilets, took on plumbing tasks including pipe fitting, repaired sewer lines, cleaned air conditioning units, dug ditches, added on porches, repaired roofs, helped tear down old buildings, fed and took care of livestock, cleaned out and changed the hay in chicken coops, milked cows, cut weeds, drove a tractor (at five) during hay season, delivered newspapers... and oh yes, all this by the time I was fourteen. Don’t tell me what Americans won’t do you disgusting piece of s—t.
In many regions of our nation, youth are no longer able to develop a list of neighbor’s lawns they can cut to make money. They can’t go clear brush. They can’t go get a job at the local fast food restaurant.
Their parents can’t get jobs in construction, housekeeping, restaurants, and other service sector related positions.
Right now we have at least ten million U.S. Citizens out of work, and they are having to compete with the citizens of our favorite leach nation, Mexico.

If you think that’s bad, I heard yesterday that people making up to $50 thousand dollars per year, will have to pay no income taxes under certain circumstances. $50K!!!!
When I was trying to raise kids on two thirds of that, there was nobody sobbing over my plight. And frankly, there shouldn’t have been.
