Richard Dawkins: I Will Arrest Pope Benedict XVI

April 11, 2010 Richard Dawkins: I Will Arrest Pope Benedict XVI Marc Horne

Atheist campaigner Richard Dawkins RICHARD DAWKINS, the atheist campaigner, is planning a legal ambush to have the Pope arrested during his state visit to Britain “for crimes against humanity”.

Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, the atheist author, have asked human rights lawyers to produce a case for charging Pope Benedict XVI over his alleged cover-up of sexual abuse in the Catholic church.

The pair believe they can exploit the same legal principle used to arrest Augusto Pinochet, the late Chilean dictator, when he visited Britain in 1998.

The Pope was embroiled in new controversy this weekend over a letter he signed arguing that the “good of the universal church” should be considered against the defrocking of an American priest who committed sex offences against two boys. It was dated 1985, when he was in charge of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which deals with sex abuse cases.

I did. You’re ignoring other definitions of the word and demanding that only one be allowed.

Atheism is a religion, a system of beliefs. His belief about a deity is that non exist, but it is taken on faith as much as anyone’s belief that God DOES exist.

In behavior, he is a just another fundamentalist religious fanatic. He is NO different than those he condemns.

I am sorry. Richard Dawkins is perfect. I never should have criticized him.

I know by your posting history in this incarnation and your previous account, that you are no friend of of religion in general and Christianity in particular.

You will likely never acknowledge any good that can come from it. That’s your choice, but it will not change the facts.

Atheism will never be able to stop islam and Christianity is the only religion which offers the only alternative which has the power to do so.

Yes, I believe you do and that is why sometimes those who oppose what He says are quick to seemingly jump on those words...but it is usually you they mistakenly target...but those of us who know consider where the real battle is.

Well, the Muslims claim that the Roman Empire was no match to their false faith, when Constantinople fell into Muslim hands, either.

And those who know a little bit about history know that this is a false claim, so why would you promote it? Does your intellectual relativism have any limits or does any argument suit you so long as it makes you look intelligent?

TY, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Mrs. MJ gets credit too, she did the HTML and provided some of the photos.

Dawkins is a leftist-collectivist of the “humanism” branch, and all those types of people want to control other people.

Good point.

If Dawkins could get out of his chair to arrest the Pope, would it be declared a miracle?
