Inhofe to Tom Coburn: Actually, Pelosi’s not a “nice lady”
Hot Air ^ | 4/10/10 | Allahpundit

It’s a sad commentary on our politics that he can’t show civility to a leader of a movement that routinely calls people like you and me teabagging racists.

“There’s nothing nice about Nancy,” Inhofe said during an interview on KFAQ radio in Oklahoma this morning. “She disagrees with everything we believe.”…

“She is nice – how many of you all have met her? She’s a nice person,” Coburn said. “Just because somebody disagrees with you don’t mean they’re not a good person.”

Inhofe had a slightly different take.

“She is a powerful person,” he said. “People wonder how she can keep getting reelected — just go out to her district.”

The boss emeritus calls her an embarrassment to women, but that’s because MM doesn’t appreciate respect for one’s opponents the way the people who call her a “coconut” race traitor do.

I have no Pelosi video to offer you, alas, so here’s one of Barney Frank from Leno last night blaming Newt Gingrich for having introduced hate to politics or something. It was pretty hateful of the GOP to take back the House after 40 years, I’ll grant him that. Oh, and here’s another video from the same show of Frank saying, no thanks, he’d rather not dine with Karl Rove because he doesn’t like him. Civility-mania!

I like both of them but Coburn was out to lunch on this one. I glad Inhofe sent him straight.

Is Inhofe saying that just because Pelosi’s trying to destroy our Constitution, our country, and our children’s lives, she’s not a nice person? If not, then I’ll say it. This evil woman is NOT a nice person.

“Inhofe tells it like it is. “

Yes, he does. When Americans start picking substance over flash, they’ll start picking patriots like Jim Inhofe and Duncan Hunter.

Inhofe gets it....Tom Coburn lost it. Should have known something was up with Coburn when he supported McCain early in the primary season.

Yes I agree that the adjective “nice” is not one that comes to mind when thinking of Ms Pelosi!

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s home district includes San Francisco .

StarKist Tuna’s headquarters are in San Francisco , Pelosi’s home district.

StarKist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi.

StarKist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan work force.

Paul Pelosi, Nancy ‘s husband, owns $17 million dollars of StarKist stock.

In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25,

Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage.

This would make Del Monte products less expensive than that of its competitors.

Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed,

Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an “economic development credit in American Samoa “

Pelosi has called the Bush Administration “CORRUPT” and many other things !!!

How do you spell “HYPOCRISY” ?

SHE’S SHAMELESS....

Exactly!

I wrote this guy off the second that endorsement came out.

Coburn needs to be targeted for removal with the rest of the RINOS.

Personal peeve:

I think one problem is that “nice” is a term that is so overused it has no meaning. Perhaps Coburn means that Pelosi is cordial in conversation or smiles a lot and uses a calm tone of voice. That’s worth a little something, but not much. She might be “nice”, but not kind. She might be “nice” in demeanor, but devious or unfair or arrogant in her underlying behavior. “Nice” is the sweet-scented peeling, but go underneath and you may find a lemon instead of a tangerine.

We need to throw “nice” in the trashcan, and look at the actual virtues or lack thereof, in someone’s character.

You’re sitting there in the giant wasteland of California, land of Boxer and Feinstein, and you’re criticizing one of the top two or three most conservative Senators in the U. S. Senate?

Go clean up our own State before you try calling Dr. Tom a RINO. You’re not only wrong, you’re spectacularly wrong.

Yes I live in CA but I do my part for the cause including spending thousand of dollars a year in contributions to conservatives inside and outside of this state as well as attend local and not so local tea parties (DC on 9/12).

I do not need my efforts undermined with statements by people on our side praising our worst enemies.

“She is nice – how many of you all have met her? She’s a nice person,”

Well, I can say that I have. I sat next to her at most 49er home games for about ten years, did not know who she was for the first four or five years, not until the Clinton impeachment did I realize who she was. Her and her family were always good loyal fans, freindly to all those who sat around them and generous to the food vendors.

She never came across as anything but a nice, down to earth person.

Yes, indeed.

I hear Stalin had very neat table manners, dressed smartly, and could cordially chat with just about anyone for hours on end.
