I like both of them but Coburn was out to lunch on this one. I glad Inhofe sent him straight.

Is Inhofe saying that just because Pelosi’s trying to destroy our Constitution, our country, and our children’s lives, she’s not a nice person? If not, then I’ll say it. This evil woman is NOT a nice person.

“Inhofe tells it like it is. “

Yes, he does. When Americans start picking substance over flash, they’ll start picking patriots like Jim Inhofe and Duncan Hunter.

Inhofe gets it....Tom Coburn lost it. Should have known something was up with Coburn when he supported McCain early in the primary season.

Yes I agree that the adjective “nice” is not one that comes to mind when thinking of Ms Pelosi!

Personal peeve:

I think one problem is that “nice” is a term that is so overused it has no meaning. Perhaps Coburn means that Pelosi is cordial in conversation or smiles a lot and uses a calm tone of voice. That’s worth a little something, but not much. She might be “nice”, but not kind. She might be “nice” in demeanor, but devious or unfair or arrogant in her underlying behavior. “Nice” is the sweet-scented peeling, but go underneath and you may find a lemon instead of a tangerine.

We need to throw “nice” in the trashcan, and look at the actual virtues or lack thereof, in someone’s character.

“She is nice – how many of you all have met her? She’s a nice person,”

Well, I can say that I have. I sat next to her at most 49er home games for about ten years, did not know who she was for the first four or five years, not until the Clinton impeachment did I realize who she was. Her and her family were always good loyal fans, freindly to all those who sat around them and generous to the food vendors.

She never came across as anything but a nice, down to earth person.

Inhofe tells it like it is.

It's called "Good Cop, Bad Cop". Inhofe and Coburn are still both Cops.....in the most conservative state in America.

Inafoe has guts as does Jim Demint, Michele Bachmann, Steve King, and there are others. Tom Coburn showed what he is made out of not only with this unnecessary comment about Pelosi but his behavior during the death care debate. He was stating that he would demand a line by line reading of the bill then folded like a cheap suit. He pulled a Stupak; holding people hostage by offering some semblance of a back-bone and then caved.

Finally, you do not, under any circumstances, break bread with an enemy...EVER

The problem with this whole thing is...........why should anyone care if she is ‘nice’ or not. Her policies suck and are harming America. Whether she is nice or not should not even be part of the conversation.

Coburn backed off on Obama at a crucial time during the Dem primary, after BO compared Coburn’s notion that abortionists might be subject to capital punishment ( presumably after legislation establishing the penalty and due process through the courts) to Bill Ayers’ bombing the Pentagon. He valued his “friendship” with BO too much to force the issue to Obama’s manner of thought and philosophy, allowing the cheap media spin that “He was a guy in the neighborhood who did bad things when I was 8 years old.” All too reminiscent of Jack Kemp’s “graciousness” in allowing Gore to tar Republicans as racist , while absolving Kemp as “one of the few” that wasn’t. “ Gee thanks, Al.”

FWIW -- Inhofe is right, and Coburn is wrong. Pelosi is by no means a "nice lady". Sheesh.
That being said, I still think that Coburn is a heckuva good senator, for the most part.

This would be an example of me "still liking Tom Coburn, even though I disagree with him on one issue".

Not trying to start a fight (honestly); just making an observation about how I'm willing to support some politicians with whom I agree 80-90% of the time on various important issues, even if I do disagree with them on some things.

She is a rabid female dog, with out the mitigating trade off of the ability to breed.

Not that I am saying that’s a bad thing....

She needs to be retired.
