Get caught with your pants (but not black socks) down consorting with hookers after hypocritically spearheading investigations of prostitution rings? No problem if you are a liberal. There is always a chance for political redemption with the aid of the mainstream media. Such was the case this past week with Client # 9 aka Eliot Spitzer. First Spitzer lets us know about the terrible pain of irrelevance in a Fortune magazine article:
...But he also says he is "in unceasing agony" and "incredibly frustrated" over no longer being "where I would like to be" -- finishing his first term as governor of New York. "Anybody who says disengaging from it in any way is easy is not being straightforward," he says. "Obviously, removing myself the way I did is that much more painful."

Good grief, here comes another liberal retread.Pity is,there are still people who would vote for this worm.
the MSM like common dung beetles....wander aimlessly, head in the sand....moving backward...while pushing their crap and hoping it sticks to something..... © Vaquero 2010
FYI
To be clear, he did not just have sex. He played rape games with them. Having them fight back while he overpowered them for anal sex.
Spitzer is one sick puppy who shouldn't be left alone with a goat.
Best part he is blasting bebe Cuomo.
But he also says he is “in unceasing agony” and “incredibly frustrated” over no longer being “where I would like to be”
He might have kept his condom off but at least he left his socks on. You gotta give him credit for that.
Join the crowd you arrogant elitist liberal S.O.B.
Unbelievable reply as usual from a once caught liberal politician!
Elliot, been conversing much with Clinton these days?
SampleMan, I had not heard that.
You sure that was spitzers little deal?
If so then that should be put in a couple of adds when he runs for anything.
Which one was he married to?
Let me guess, the defamed one who divorced him.
Another example of why laws should be enforced. This man should be behind bars.
That’s what the “ladies” said.
This hypocritical weasel was inveighing against other people’s crimes, while he was breaking the law. He was using phony bank accounts to further his trysts with hookers. He should be in jail. What law says we have to give sleazy Democrats a pass?
Edwards was everywhere in the tabloids, but then nowhere but further into the depths of his walk of shame. Blago (IL) is everywhere doing reality shows..but a snicker and a joke; and shouldn't he be in jail? [Beck made a mistake giving that guy air-time "fer-sure") Isn't there a law somewhere in the Chicago zoning restrictions against his hairdo?
Edwards and Blago had something in common, however; their obsession with their hair. Never trust a politician that preens and tosses his "silky pony" [Laura Ingraham] hair. Laura tried to warn everyone at the beginning.
I saw him on the street last week. I thought about heckling him but didn’t. Sort of wished I did.
It already deserves to implode for electing Carpetbaggers Bobby Kennedy and Hillary Clinton to the Senate.
Spitzer is an individual totally absorbed with his own crass ambitions. The political Spitzer rode roughshod over anyone who dared stand in his path---friend or foe. At the end, when his reckless behavior was exposed, he had trampled on so many, none of the PTB were willing to defend him. He was tossed out of office on his sorry rear.
SPITZER'S ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN TACTICS For his two state campaigns, Spitzer spent a total of about $12M, mostly personal funds and bank loans. Spitzer borrowed about $5M from his father to help settle loans, and was earning $200,000 a year consulting for his father.
During Spitler's 1998 AG campaign, he indignantly denied allegations by his GOP opponent, Dennis Vacco (Vacco is a top-notch pro-life conservative), that Spitler's wealthy father had provided millions in loans to his campaign. Candidate Spitzer insisted he was using only his own money (family members are limited by law to $110,000 in total contributions). Spitler accused Vacco of "smearing" his father.
Not until he'd actually taken office did Spitzer admit that Dennis Vacco had been correct. In fact, it turned out Spitzer, despite earlier denials, had done the exact same thing during his unsuccessful 1994 run for AG.
GOV SPITZER ABUSED HIS OFFICE AS WELL AS HIS WIFE The beginning of Gov Spitzers end can be traced to three banking transfers that left his personal account at the North Fork Bank in New York spring and summer 2007.
These payments totaling $15,000 attracted the attention of bank employees who monitor accounts for signs of suspicious activity. (NOTE: After 911, money-laundering laws were significantly tightened, requiring banks to file so-called suspicious activity reports whenever there is evidence that clients might be trying to sidestep routine regulations).
THE SPITZER MONEY LAUNDRY Spitzers money transfers to a company called QAT International Inc later revealed to be a front for pimp Brener's Emperors Club brothel were reportedly considered by the bank to be an attempt to avoid another law that requires all transactions over $10,000 to be reported to the US Treasury.
Breaking down payments with intent to avoid US Treasury reporting requirements is an offense known as structuring.
The Spitzer case opened when banks noticed frequent transfers from Spitzer's several accounts and filed suspicious activity reports with the IRS (mandated post-911 precautions to hinder financing terrorism). The accounts were traced back to Spitzer, prompting public corruption investigators to open an inquiry.
Spitzers governor's office has also been connected to sophisticated "Destroyer Programs" that erase computer hard drives.
