If anyone wants to hear a live recording of raw bravery and epoch-making American heroism, download the audio file of the cockpit-ground communication during the full balls-on lunar landing of the Apollo 11 LEM.

Tragedy averted by cool headed heroes - and a very few seconds.

Picture this in your mind: What if one of those astronauts had been an obama personality

What is on the moon, or Mars for that matter, that we need to see?

Hmmm, well, maybe, for starters, new worlds to explore and eventually colonize? I'd rather have free people, people thoroughly imbued with a love of being free, the essence of Western culture, there to build those worlds, rather than those dedicated to collectivism, repression, and tyranny. If trends continue, the impending debacle on this world may make Western colonies isolated from the decadence of Earthly politics our only hope for preserving and propagating freedom and preserving the Idea first embraced by the patriots of old.

When Obama sees the movie Apollo 13, the first thing he thinks of is “Whitey on the Moon”.

I love the Retro Television Network (RTN/RTV) where they show one of my favorite old shows, "The Bold Ones." I like the doctors the best starring E.G. Marshall, John Saxon and David Hartman. One 1969 episode dealt with the doctors examining the next crew to go to the Moon for Apollo 12 and one of the astronauts was Black. He was undr a lot of pressure from himself and his wife because he would be the first Black man to walk on the Moon. Very interesting episode.

A bit OT, but another episode (the lawyers section with Burl Ives, James Farantino and Joseph Campinella) dealt with a young Black man charged with murdering a detective by pushing him off the stairs of the fire escape while running. He was involved with the Black Panthers. However, his father, a successful businessman, actually did it accidently. One thing that really caught my attention is when the kid was addressing the court, he said something like, "you just like to fry (n-words) like me," but he said the full word. I don't condone the use of slurs and so on just being tossed willy/nilly but if they are part of a story like this one, then I have no problem with it. The episode was made in 1970 and I seem to remember one thing Michael Savage said where "our fathers did not make as much money as we do now (until Bammy got into office) but they were freer than we are now." We seem to be much freer in 1970 than we are in 2010.

Lastly on another episode still, the one where Hal Holbrook was a Senator, one 1971 episode, he warned us about the dangers of unelected "tsars" will have on our country since they are not voted into office and are not accoutable to anyone.

Indeed.

No room for “connected”, unaccomplished Ivy Leaguers, obfuscating lawyers or faux diversity, in the meritocracy that was the achievement-oriented NASA of the 1960s.

I knew someone would accuse Armstrong of being a racist for his comments;

“jeez armstrong must be a real prince

he refuses to give interviews for years...decades...but suddenly he has time free to squeak up and shit on the black man...”

Maybe we can raise taxes establish a voluntary fund to give sendOsama enough money to create his own mission to the moon.

Fixed it.

I'll contribute
