IDK. I am not judging Obama on his skin color but the content of his policies. I would gladly vote for a conservative black man.

"For the United States, the leading spacefaring nation for nearly half a century, to be without carriage to low Earth orbit and with no human exploration capability to go beyond Earth orbit for an indeterminate time into the future, destines our nation to become one of second- or even third-rate stature," they said in the letter.
That's what Obama wants.

Love ya, Neil, but youre wrong on this one. Well, enlighten us.
As much as I want to see the free market take over in space....we as a nation have an obligation, for security reasons, to keep in the forefront.

Neil is wrong on this.. What is on the moon, or Mars for that matter, that we need to see? What do they do in the Int’l Space Station? Private industry can launch satellites more efficiently than NASA can.. Neil, we are not made of money!!!!

Once upon a time we were a great nation of pioneers.
Now we are a nation of settlers.

Funny how the Russians understand the concept of supply and demand, eh?

Private industry can launch satellites more efficiently than NASA can. However, only NASA (and its private industry contractors), the Russian government (and their quasi-private industry contrators), and the Chinese government (with tech exported by the Clinton admin) have proven that they can get men into space.

Plus, it is of strategic importance to be able to dominate the “high ground” for defense of the nation. I think that is covered in the Constitution.

This might have a lot more credibility if the moon landings hadn’t been the greatest hoax of the 20th Century.

According to Newsmeat.com, Jim Lovell supports no one other than Republicans. That would leave that loser Ø out. I looked at it during the 2008 campaign and he never contributed to Ø. Lovell is like a lot of astronauts past and present that backs Pubs. Buzz Aldrin, Lovell’s co-pilot on Gemini 12, happens to agree with bummer’s space policy though. Sadly.

Armstrong is notoriously taciturn. For him to speak out like this is really unusual. Meanwhile Aldrin just got voted off Dancing with the Stars. What was he thinking?

Zero's anti-space program must be sending seismic shockwaves through Old NASA. For Neil Armstrong to issue a statement about anything is unprecedented. He is perhaps the humblest and least outspoken American hero. Zero isn't even worthy to carry a bucket of his cold p***.

The reason we have to ask Russia very nicely to fly us to the Space Station is because of Bill Clinton using NASA as a tool of diplomacy. Kind of like using a finely calibrated micrometer as a hammer. Way wrong tool for the job.

When I look at the stupid projects on which stimulus money was spent, I grow even more enraged about Obama cancelling the space program.
$30 million on a field mouse for Nazi Pelosi’s district.
Grrrrrr!
