NEW YORK (AP) - The creators of the cheeky animated TV series "South Park" are taking aim at Broadway.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone have written a musical comedy called "The Book of Mormon" that will open on Broadway in March 2011. The two wrote the show's book, music and lyrics, along with Robert Lopez, one of the creators of the Tony-winning "Avenue Q." The musical will be directed by Parker and Jason Moore, who directed "Avenue Q."

Oh my.........here we go.
...a.k.a. “The Mitt Romney Story”.
I heard Trey’s first girlfriend was Mormon and that his experiences with dating her is why he parodys the religion so much. She must of really messed with that young boys head.....
This is their second anti-LDS outing. Do either have past dealings with the LDS?

I still want to see “Betty Ford: the Musical” and “The Planet of the Apes Musical” (from chimp-an-A to chimp-an-Zee!)
All of my friends kept insisting that I watch the “Mormon espisode” of SP and said how funny and how ridiculous it was.
So I watched it.
What was funny, and sad, is that what they portrayed wasn’t only ACCURATE, it wasn’t even the “meat” stuff. That is almost all the stuff (missing 16 pages and the like) is what the LDS missionaries ADMIT to during the discussions. It is what the LDS tell you BEFORE YOU JOIN. The REALLY WIERD stuff you don’t find out until AFTER you are a member.
So, as much as I am not a SP fan, I am interested in what this contains.
