I think we need a thread to build a running tally of the numbers of people at various Tea Parties around the country. I wasn't able to get to DC but did go to the one here in Santa Rosa, CA. Each Tea Party may have been relatively small, but if we add up all the people in all the cities across America, I bet it's a pretty large number. So here goes:
Santa Rosa, CA: roughly 1000.
Please add estimates for your city.
TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism; Government; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: teaparty; vanity

Colorado Springs - about 1000. Although I had to leave early and it looked bigger as a drove past on my way back to work.

Fort Collins, Colorado - I’m guessing over 1000.
I’m a little disappointed as it seemed smaller then the last one I was at in the same place. But still lots of good folks and speakers.
There was one anti-Tea Party-er sitting there quietly. No one bothered her.

Raleigh, North Carolina-—1000 to 1300. People were fired up and it was a great atmosphere. Also, getting good TV coverage in the triangle area.

Thanks for all the estimates. Please ping anyone you know who was at a different Tea Party. Tomorrow I’ll spreadsheet all these and post a list with running totals by city and state.

I am just so proud of anyone that goes to one of these.
Love to see the children with their parents there too.
