bottom 50% of filiers pay < 3%... let’s say 0%
that means 70m people pay ALL the taxes

70m / 310m == 22%. pay for it all

Those are just income taxes, and do not include the 15% or so of cell phone bills, fuel taxes, excise taxes, and all the hidden taxes which are passed on to the common folk in every item we buy. Everyone pays taxes, the real illusion is that some don’t. Often, the impression is given prices rise because of “corporate greed” and not the increase in regulatory fees and other taxes imposed on those who provide goods and services.
