Really, don't think that what the Branch Dividians were practicing was Christianity. It was more aptly "Koreshianity". That doesn't excuse the government's actions; let's not defame Christianity by lumping David Koresh's cult into it, in the process, though.
I really hate the feds getting into what justifies a cult or not. I have always heard Vernon Howard could have been arrested as he jogged sometimes.

A Branch of or from what? And why did they branch from whatever it was?
It was not until the tv documentary "Path to 9/11" that it was revealed that Bill Clinton did not order the Waco disaster as much as he just let it happened. Apparently, Janet Reno was waiting for a reply as to proceed with the seige or not when she could not wait any longer. She ordered the seige and the rest is history. Bill Clinton hung Waco around her neck because SHE made the decision, technically, and he did not. That is why she came out days later and said, "I take full responsibility..."
