TAMPA, FL -- Gov. Charlie Crist sat down with ABC Action News reporter Sarina Fazan Monday afternoon. When asked about whether or not he will run as an independent in the race for U.S. Senate, he said he has not made up his mind yet.

"I can tell you I'm getting a lot of advice in that direction. I'm a listener and so I'm certainly listening to it," said Crist.

He also talked about the decision to pull all of his political ads.

"I wanted to talk about what we've done in the administration to improve education to keep crime down to reduce taxes and just the common sense approach that we've taken in this administration to share with the people of Florida," said Crist.

In the past Crist has skirted questions about a possible independent run. But he now admits many around him are pushing for a party change

Less than a month ago and this slimy fake tanned fool is going to lie and do exactly what he said he wouldn’t do. I’m glad Charles Gibson pinned him down asking him 3 then 4 times so there is no mistake this scumbag lied.

This guy is a snake. A dirty, deceitful snake.

To state the obvious, he's a politician so get over it.

Party over conviction, if party doesn't do it, self over party and conviction, and if THAT doesn't do it, shed skin and start over.

Conviction was last seen when Ronald Reagan was President.

Haha, yeah the Gulf of Mexico. I doubt the folks of Alabama or Georgia would welcome him with open arms crossing their border.

Yep, and in my opinion, if he changes party affiliation, he should resign as Governor the same day.

There. Finished the thought for him.

He’s held just about every hold-able political office in FL. Now he wants to be Senator and doesn’t care how he does it.

He’s simply a craven politician of the worst order. But I think Marco can pull it out. Charlie will take alot of Dem. votes from Meek due to his RINO qualities and the more people see and hear Marco the more they will like him.

But Charlie needs to cool his jets to run against Nelson (at which time hopefully we’ll be able to dig up another CONSERVATIVE primary challenger!)

Charlie’s not running for Gov so he’ll be lost without a political job. Oh woe is he! Perhaps he can lay low for a bit and spend some time with his new lovely wife!

Mr Cap-and-Trade will run as an independent. I said this a year ago.

If Crist had any honor he would stay on as governor, which he’d win handily, then run for Nelson’s seat. Of course “honor” is something Crist knows nothing about.

I can tell you this, they really love him over and DU, that tells us all we need to know. If they are rooting for him, that says it all.

Makes you wonder if politicians have that ‘in’ them even before they run for an office. Gotta have ego to believe you’ll win.

“Proof (again) that RINOS wold rather see a Democrat win than a conservative.”

That’s how our little commie got elected to Congress.
