And never a single dead body televised or photographed for an American publication.

3,000 dead people, not one body pictured. Makes it easier to forget what 3,000 people would look like.

The media says it is out of respect. A respect they never showed the OKC families. A respect they do not show US troops. A respect they do not show Palestinians. I say it is because the media REFUSES to share the horrors of that day.

McVey claiming Waco and Ruby Ridge caused him to bomb OKC is as valid as the 9/11 terrorists claiming that US actions in the Middle East caused them to attack the WTC.

Exactly. Iraqi was reported by local news to have stayed in the truck and lit the fuse. Witnesses saw a number of Arabs leaving the scene. ATF didn’t show up for work that day.

Clinton administration knew the right would be blamed. He came out blaming Rush. They used the Arabs to stigmatize the right and MSM played along with it.

What incident are they working on now? Fall elections are coming up.

It was a very good program. Factual and pretty much down the middle. I think that the level of discourse on the fringes of both sides has gone over the top. (And BTW, I don’t consider the tea parties to be the fringe.) Both sides are guilty of ratcheting up the nasty nature of political discourse and there are those who aren’t able to control their conduct and who could do something stupid, although unlikely on the scale of McVeigh stupid. But we saw it recently in New Orleans with the beatdown of Jindal’s aide and her boyfriend. I think that the responsible leaders on both sides need to remind the whackos in their respective camps to remember that free speech is one thing, but Civil War II or TEOTWAWKI is not want anyone should want or pursue. The Constitution works. Vote ‘em out, convince others to do so. And persuasive argument isn’t yelling explitives in someone’s face, smearing blood on the Secy of State as she prepares to testify before Congress, or planning on assassinating cops like the yahoos in Michigan.

I would go as far and say I wonder if the Feds(FBI and ATF) were involved directly or indirectly some way or another in OKC bombing.

McVeigh’s defense attorney said the reason he choose the Murrah BLDG, was because that was home of the ATF advance team at Waco.

Not that it’s justification, but if true, it makes a connection.
